In a new Yahoo Finance Twitter poll, over 31,000 users responded to the question, "Would you avoid going to a restaurant if proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required for entry?" 80.3% of respondents answered "yes," whereas 19.7% responded "no."

I hope any business that mandates proof goes broke.
Good, i hope more wise up and that stat gets closer to 95-100%
Those figures indicate that it’s not about how people feel about vaccines or masks. I suspect it’s more about a love of liberty and a revulsion towards tyranny.
Are we sure this online poll wasn’t FReeped? ;)
Online polls are generally worthless. Easy to manipulate by driving traffic from those inside ideological bubbles. And like Yelp ratings they attract people who are highly motivated to one side or another.
Still would be nice if 80% of Americans rejected these intrusions into personal privacy and restrictions on free and open access out of principle.
I await the news of a fully vaccinated restaurant in NYC catching the COVID.
And want to see the spin of how the unwashed, unvaccinated will be to blame
I booked a Royal Caribbean cruise for December, no vaccine was required. Ship sails in December, 12 days and the price was $1,200/person. On August 1st they issued a policy that all passengers have to be vaccinated and we canceled. As a side not we had to have the credit card company intervene because Royal did not want to refund our deposit despite a major policy change. Anyway, today the same cruise is selling for $850 per day person. Shows you what people think of vaccine mandates.
Thank you for interjecting a bit of scientific truth into this topic.
A poll must be random and not generated through voluntary recruitment.
This was thoroughly taught in Statistics 101 at North Caroline State University (hat tip to a great academic institution).
80% in this case is meaningless.
We have people on this very forum who don’t understand the distinction.
I am for vaccines if people want to get them.
I am for masks for those who feel safer wearing them.
I am totally opposed to any kind of mandate from Government at any level or employers for either a vaccine or mask wearing. Period. Full stop.
A government that can rationalize mandating an invasive medical procedure for something like this virus can rationalize mandating anything. Furthermore, they can rationalize anything they wish to DO to you.
Exactly! I have nothing I can add to that and there’s nothing I would take away.
Some thought it couldn't be done. Then it was done. Federal court strikes down vaccine mandate & restrictions on unvaccinated. https://t.co/MSGxGNTBLA— Robert Barnes (@barnes_law) August 23, 2021
You were wise to use a credit card.
I’ve seen people have that issue with Cruise Lines and cash and check is not a winning side to be on..
With that credit card, you throw that fraud word around and it gets refunded a lot quicker..
And the fever may subside and these frightened corporations will turn 180 like they did before.
And the rates may be lower than before, like you mentioned.
1200 per for 12 days seems really good, too.
That is an industry that can’t afford to have empty ships..
They ain’t Disney that prints money
Any other news on this? It is apparently behind a paywall.
I was only able to pull up the first page....here....

Federal Judge: Vaccine Mandate at Louisiana College Violates Religious Liberty
Sigh. Sadly, there are many people I have formerly viewed as Patriots who seem to be all on board for this kind of thing. It sure does bring me down.
Even if we had the shots we would avoid anyplace “requiring” proof. They can puh cough!
Probably enough sheeple to fill the boat. Sure hope no one comes down with the tau chi omega variant. 💉😨😲
Darn. I couldn’t get any information out of that, it required a subscription. But I did look it up elsewhere, and as I feared, it is likely a narrow ruling. This is what the federal government said they were going to do-push the mandates onto employers and businesses.
Therefore any resistance to it would be more piecemeal, and rulings would be more narrow.
I am happy to see this, though. It is a victory. Thanks for posting it.
