Flubros and Flubras! (A place for Flubros and Flubras) Year 2

It’s just the flu, bro.

The belief of many covidiots is that they save lives when they get the vax. They also believe that restricting the activities of those without the vax saves lives. These beliefs are incredibly empowering for these losers. They actually believe they are truly doing good by limiting the freedom of those who don’t get vaccinated.

It is very difficult to stop someone from doing what they perceive to be good and right. Additionally, they get to virtue signal and receive encouragement from their peers.

I believe in many locations in excess of 50% believe they will save lives by restricting the lives of those without the vaccine. This means that politicians will gladly strip our freedoms away.

The only thing left to protect us is our constitution, the courts, politicians (in some states), and, finally, our guns.

And when you don’t have these protections (especially guns) you get Australia. Normally Australia is not worth talking about but any Freepers who do not know might want to check out the videos of the Covid police/military jackboots operating in that tyranny.

I stopped posting daily when Governor Abbott here in Texas passed the law preventing mask mandates and social distancing in government buildings. So I am grateful for my freedom and my kids’ freedom in school. But I am starting to get a bit more paranoid after seeing those Aussies act like covidiots. One bad election here is Texas and we could wind up a lot like California or Massachusetts. I guess freedom must be fought for.

“In a nutshell, it’s causing telomeres to shorten pre-maturely.”

Doesn’t a factor involving telomeres (telos) have to do with the aging process? Not sure, but there’s something in the back of my mind I think I recall. If so, probably not good messing with that.

At this point, I don’t think anybody’s going to change their minds one way or the other.

They may have to change their action (e.g., get vaxxed or get fired), but their opinion will stay the same.

“Glad to see you back. You were calling it correctly from day one.“

IMPIMP is completely right. 640,000 (the number of US COVID deaths) is the same as 60,000, the highest number of flu deaths ever.

Or is 60,000 bigger than 640,000 ???
It’s all so confusing.

C’mon, man! You know there’s a difference between dying ‘of’ the Covid and dying ‘with’ the Covid! :-D

"Now tell me the truth, what is your real reason for your unreasonable contrariness?"
I've had the Pfizer shots along with my wife and brother. About a month later my brother died. Heart problems, I was told. When I mentioned that had given me pause about the vaccine on this board, I was told, "The vaccine protects you from COVID, not heart problems."

Well, according to a paper by the CDC itself, it may do more than that:
"Clinical Considerations: Myocarditis and Pericarditis after Receipt of mRNA COVID-19 Vaccines Among Adolescents and Young Adults."
https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/clinical-considerations/myocarditis.html

I think once people get a requirement to get their third and fourth and fifth booster shot they WILL change their minds. Politically, opposing these mandatory vaxxes is a winner. A few days ago I believe the political party in Nova Scotia that was opposed to vaxx mandates swept to power over the incumbent Liberal government that was in favor of the mandates. I know it is an anecdote but I think we have some momentum that will build over the next few months in our favor.

As I travel the highways & byways, I see a lot of people just going about their lives - vaxxed or not, they don’t want to wear the masks.

Correct and correct.

...640,000 (the number of US COVID deaths)...

640,000?

What number with COVID (knowing they used a test that couldn't differentiate between the flu and COVID), and what number from COVID?

Did you have to wear a mask in 1976?   No and I am opposed to government mandated mask wearing.   I didn't mention mask wearing at all.   I haven't worn a mask anywhere the past few months.

Was your vaccine an “emergency authorized use” type?   I am not aware of any other type, so yes it was.

Did civilians lose their jobs or were stigmatized as “anti-vax” even if they earlier took shots/draws for other child-hood/militarily ordered vaccines, blood donations, plasma selling, or pain-killers in a dentist’s office or surgical room but, for whatever reason, did not take the vaccine?   I'm sorry, but now you seem to be accusing me of all the abhorrent behavior of the leftists.   If so, you can just go soak your head.

I made a choice to ask for the vaccine.   I retired from Verizon as a an ITIL® (V3)and PMI (CAPM® & PMP®)certified Program and Project Manager.   I know something about Risk Management.

I have a few comorbidities, as they say, and two years ago, I was diagnosed with "extensive Atherosclerotic plaque burden" in my heart.   That is calcified plaque but a cardiologist said it was not operable since I had no symptoms.   My Dad had his first heart attack at the age of 47 and passed away with his fourth heart attack at the age of 56.   I therefore have learned something of heart disease.   If I die of a heart attack I defy anyone to claim that it was due to the vaccine and not my own sedentary life.

It is clear you have no clue about the US military.   There is no such thing as a conscientious objector if you are already in service.

This is how it went:

In 1975 at a Commander's Call in the 2049th Comm. Group Building Auditorium, Colonel Joska, while we were at attention before he left the stage, ordered us to stay there to receive flu shots.   The women who wore fancy bras that could be seen through their white t-shirts were a little disconcerted when the med techs told us to shuck off our uniform shirts.   Some were not.

You should consider that in your risk assessment.   Just be aware, myocarditis was a thing before COVID-19.   Don't let anybody blow smoke up your skirt.

You are not thinking clearly.   It is a fact that since the regular flu shots were created a couple of generations ago, they have rolled out an update with ever new strain.   Why are you thinking the Wuhan Flu would be any different?

The thread is for Flubros and Flubras but so many responding here are clearly considering COVID-19 not just the Flu.

There is no such thing as a conscientious objector if you are already in service.

A friend of mine became a conscientious objector while an MP in Germany. He and his family were launched back to the states as though by catapult within 48 hours of his stating so to his commander, and he was separated, I believe honorably but with no less than a general discharge, almost as soon as they landed.
