Penn Study Details Robust T-Cell Response to mRNA COVID-19 Vaccines—a More Durable Source of Protection

PHILADELPHIA—Messenger-RNA (mRNA) vaccines against the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 provoke a swift and strong response by the immune system’s T cells—the heavy armor of the immune system—according to a study from researchers in the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Although recent studies of vaccines tend to focus on the antibody response, the T-cell response is also an important and potentially more durable source of protection—yet little has been reported so far on the T-cell response to COVID-19 vaccines.

In the new study, which appears in the journal Immunity, the Penn Medicine researchers analyzed the T-cell responses in 47 healthy people who received two doses of the Moderna and Pfizer/BioNTech mRNA vaccines.

We’re lost without Dr. Fallacy. Who would lie and manipulate people if he’s gone?

lol - lots of technical lingo but I think what it says is, if you’ve had covid, it acts as a first vaccination and so only one dose of vaccine should be necessary. OTOH, there’s another study that says exposure dictates immune response - someone with a asymptomatic or mild case (low level exposure) may have a slower, sluggish - antibody - response to covid than someone who goes full-blown disease and is then re-exposed. So it’s a balancing act.

Why would it not? Breakthroughs are expected as a percentage efficacy, right? The percentage of those the vaccine (or prior asyie/mild infection for that matter) won't help? Switching horses to the monoclonals downgraded to outpatient use - only 70% efficacy so 30% aren't going to be helped. But are they breakthroughs? Or just on the short end of the efficacy stick?

47 people doesn’t really seem like a good study

Support the death jab equals good. Support anything but the death jab equals too small. Support Ivermectin equals those Penn people must be third world morons or dishonest.

I actually watched part of that alex jones video and click-scanned the rest. True to his entire career, he makes a lot of claims without backup. He’s never been as entertaining as George Noory but he does sell more vitamin products so I’ll give him that. He’s a good vitamin salesman.

What, was it too hard for you to read the first link, which was to the actual study, that I posted? The second link was for if that was too tough for you, not for you to gloss over the actual data with an ad hominem attack on Jones.

Sure, he’s probably to some degree controlled opposition, but he also has some of the best guests and data out there. These are serious times and I advise sharpening your discernment capabilities if you want to be more than a CNN agiprop zombie.

So that must mean that mRNA vaccines cure global warming. Awesome! Sea levels are receding already.
