Covid-19 survivors who have been left with severe lung damage might be cured by an infusion of their own blood cells.

Doctors are optimistic that the new treatment of macrophages will restore lung function back to normal. I read the entire article, this is the key sentence.
No real proof or true success, but they are 'hopeful'.
The headlines and the facts are two different things.
