Death rate is ~1.4%. Meanwhile the tens of millions of deaths from the flu in 2019 went down to 2000 in 2020. The numbers just don’t add up. And we severely impacted our lives for this???!!? 🤬
We have flu admits but only once in my career did we have anything close to this type of resp virus hospital impact. And this is worse.
But I do not favor lockdowns or mandates.

@ post 4. Thanks for adding the comment. But fear will do that. Even fear for a virus that kills less people than the flu who are under 70. Never forget, fear is more contagious than any virus, no matter how ones hedges their fearful words.
Zero deaths in FL yesterday? Was there a reporting outage?
Anyway, checkout this graph...

FL changed the way it reports COVID deaths on 10 Aug, so you won't know what the number is for a couple weeks. FL reported almost 1500 deaths this week, but they are back dated to various days over the past month. Eventually, yesterday's "zero" will creep up to well over 100.
