Must have been inside of the 50 mile radius around central Baltimore.
Daytime shooting? Nighttime? Late nighttime? Sitting in a dorm room? Sitting in a public spot on campus? Outside a bar at 2am?
If only Maryland had gun control... /s
“Officers say they responded to the 8300 block of Hollow Tree Lane in Upper Marlboro around 11:50 p.m. Saturday for the report of a shooting. Police say 20-year-old Alexander Korman of Bethesda was found inside of a car suffering from gunshot wounds. Korman died from his injuries on Thursday.”
FWIW this was a young fellow who was a Maryland resident who was attending Butler in Indiana.
That’s a relatively nice area southeast of Joint Base Andrews. Not Baltimore City or DC.
Drug deal gone bad? Maybe the kid was just a customer and got caught between two groups of gangstas? Total guesswork on my part.
I recall when Upper Marlboro was very much white and somewhat rural.
I’m in Indiana so don’t have a clue about the area.
But it’s not uncommon here to see drug deals go bad in “nice” suburbs.
Purchaser shows up, gets robbed, then rival gang who has been stalking sellers shoots up selling gang and grabs the drugs and dough.
IMHO, almost certainly gang related. And I'm skeptical of it being a "drive-by" shooting. More likely a "drive-up attack".
Use to live in Upper Marlboro.
South of UM it is a pretty quite area.
Amish supremacists again
