This morning CNN's New Day aired a report by correspondent Clarissa Ward from the Kabul airport. There, in addition to being roughly confronted by Taliban fighters, she was beseeched for advice by Afghans who had served as translators to US forces, desperate to get into the airport and out of the country.
After that piece ran, Ward was interviewed live by co-host Brianna Keilar. Commenting on Biden's interview of yesterday with George Stephanopoulos of ABC News in which Biden refused to acknowledge failure, Ward described heart-rending scenes in which parents were throwing their babies over razor wire at the airport, hoping to get them to safety.
Concluded Ward:
"If this isn’t failure, what does failure look like exactly?"

Just wait until you see Harris in action
Whoever is the Democrat candidate in ‘24, CNN will be supporting them.
But for now, CNN is absolutely savaging Biden on his Afghanistan failure.
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
Yes, Kamala would restore confidence overnight! ;-)
They have to ask? CNNs picture is next to “failure” in the dictionary.
“ Just wait until you see Harris in action”
—————————————————————-
Don’t forget, Harris bragged she was the last person in the room with Biden while planning this evac.
We might be seeing Harris in action right now. So many rookie mistakes, so many non military behavior.
It shouldn’t really be news that mainstream outlets are criticizing Biden for what is clearly a debacle, but somehow it still seems surprising.
It was not failure, it was Bidet in action.
Now Clarissa Ward is made because her Black Burqa stopped working and she was chased by a couple of the Tallyband
Come on Man, Joe is doing the best he can, and if you really want to see Failure, take a look at the Vice Prostitute.
I don't even want to think about Harris in "action"
“...but somehow it still seems surprising.”
Yes, it feels very weird, like the entire Biden charade is suddenly over. For a year and a half the media have been promoting the outlandish Big Lie ever... that bumbling dementia patient Joe Biden is this wise, capable senior statesman. From the beginning I’ve never expected Dementia Joe to serve four years, figuring that they’d push him into resignation after 1/20/23 so that Kamala could still have two full terms. But now it seems like perhaps they’ve decided to scrap that timetable and dump him sooner. Not that anyone really thinks that Kamala is capable or competent, but rather that simply that the jig is finally up for Biden.
I said just today at lunch that this whole thing stinks as a setup to push out Biden. It should warrant an ‘Afghanistan Commission’, perhaps after GOP retakes the House/Senate (wishful thinking).
But what it says about the ‘deep state’ makes all the conspiracy theories about everything else deeply worrisome.
When you’ve lost CNN(Cause CNN wants heels Harris in charge, oy I dont know what is a worst case scenario)
CNN is now basically going to shill for bringing in as many Afghani refugees as possible.
“But for now, CNN is absolutely savaging Biden on his Afghanistan failure.”
Too little, too late.
Biden is the most inept president ever; he even makes the hapless Jimmy Carter — and the utterly incompetent Barack Obama — look masterful.
Our allies are abandoning the US in droves, as they have concluded that the US is untrustworthy, and a Potemkin nation if ever there was one. And they have a point. Our national leadership is worthless. Our troops are brave warriors, and patriots; but their leadership is a joke.
Yes, it is even gives you an odd feeling to see it.
But they'll recover soon and "remember" it was Trump's fault.
They realize he’s going down and they don’t want to be chained to him.
