Why the US will abandon island of Taiwan eventually: Global Times editorial(Xi propaganda, shows their thinking)

Will the US abandon Taiwan? Fundamentally speaking, this is a matter of time and situation, and it will not be decided by a few elites in the US and Taiwan. We believe that as long as the mainland's strength continues to grow, and as long as it prepares fully for military struggles and has a firm will to unify, then there is no doubt the US is doomed to eventually abandon Taiwan.

First, there is no official document in the US that requires it to send troops to defend Taiwan. Once it does, the US president and his administration will break the legal framework and engage in a strategic gamble of having a war with another major power. It would be an unprecedented war mobilization in the US since the end of World War II.

Second, China is a nuclear power with full preparedness for an offshore military struggle. This makes the US completely unsure of a victory in a cross-Straits war. In fact, the US military and academic communities are pessimistic about the result of a cross-Straits war. The US failed in all its main post-WWII wars in Asia. If it were to go to war with modern China, it would face a strong enemy it had never experienced before that would consume all its national strength.

It is normally the Chinese way to play the long game.

But—if they follow the teachings of Sun Tzu they will go all out now.

He always said to strike quickly when your enemy is weak.

The reason—the US may get it together in the post Biden era—not wise to wait to find out...

I never thought that the day would come when I would lose respect for virtually all government organizations.
Of course, I had never fully understood the vileness of Democrats. Couple this with a low-T and low IQ media and we’ve got the sewage pile we see today.

They are the enemy and until we realize that they are the “domestic enemies”, we will continue our descent.

The U S of A is not a long term friend to anyone - even when it benefits America.

I think they already have, and whatever China wants to do in regards to Taiwan you can bet they will do it before 2024 as they won’t take a chance on another presidential election. Maybe not even the 2022 election.

I think the US military is spread out, weak, and ‘busy’ with the afghnistan fiasco. The submarine force will be what the chinese are afraid of, IMHO.

I believe that the decision has been made to abandon Taiwan. Even before the Afghanistan surrender. The administration has indicated that it will not stop aggression, anywhere, for any reason, unless it furthers the desires of the Socialist movement. In effect, this administration is orchestrating a ‘de fact’ surrender to the socialists, both foreign and domestic.

biden has already agreed to abandon it. He and the chicoms, his new masters, have spoken.

There are all kinds of nasty scenarios, particularly when/if the shooting starts, but I believe it is a “now or never” situation for the Chinese.

If they consider it too risky now, then they should abandon all hope of conquering Taiwan.

The US is only a dependable ally when we have a staunch conservative in the White House. But, other than POTUS Trump, we haven't had any other than Reagan.

It certainly bodes ill for our future.

“He and the chicoms, his new masters, have spoken.”
I truly believe this as well. Hunter, Slo Joe, and many of his cabinet people are beholding to the CCP for their cash handouts. The Rat party is controlled by China, especially his new guy Jake Sullivan. IMHO

China should strike now if they want the island.
Our “leadership” is busy sucking their thumbs and hiding in corners. There really is no better time to take it. I would not be surprised at all if they invaded and “Resettled” the people of Taiwan today.

*China invades Taiwan
*Japan looks to the US
*South Korea looks to the US
*Vietnam shakes it’s head
*US says they may apply sanctions

Also, any argument that talks about the lack of a written doc protecting Taiwan is way off the mark. BeijingBiden has already indicated that he respects no law, even US Const. See rent/eviction position.
