Peter Hotez, MD, PhD, of Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, said on CNN Monday night that a 3-week interval between the first and second doses of Pfizer's mRNA vaccine, for instance, may not have been enough time to spur an extended immune response, with the initial shots acting only as a primary immunization.
An 8-month lag, on the other hand, could boost immunity significantly, Hotez said, with the potential to yield high levels of virus-neutralizing antibody and an immune response that is "really robust."
"That may be it for a while, we may not need annual boosters," Hotez said. "This could be the third and done."
Since it's typical for antibodies to wane over time, it's common for vaccines to be administered in multiple doses over a longer time period. People get three shots over a 6-month period for hepatitis B, for instance, and a four-dose regimen is recommended for polio.
"In fact, it is unusual to give a one-dose, give-and-go vaccine," John Moore, PhD, professor of microbiology and immunology at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York, told MedPage Today. "Most vaccines require at least two shots."
In a multi-dose vaccine regimen, a longer interval between doses gives the immune system time to mature, Moore said. During this time period, a process called affinity maturation takes place, which causes antibodies to improve in quality while dwindling in number, he said.

The hepatitis B vaccine is a series of three vaccines at Initial injection, one month and six months — it might stand to reason that this is the same — and yes hepatitis B is a virus just like a lot of other viral vaccines that confer life long immunity.
Am beginning to wonder if the jab works at all. Just blame its failure on a variant. Heard today on radio news that 1/3 of all new cases are showing up in vaccinated people. That’s close to half. Hmmmm
the last booster doesn’t sound ka-chingy enough
Someone in the Canadian Health Department crunched the numbers months ago and recommended pretty much the same thing - wait 4 months, not 4 weeks, for the 2nd jab. She was mocked and accused of trying to ration the doses.
There are others who said get one of each of the 2 jabs: one Moderna and one Pfizer. Some countries are rolling out a 3rd jab, a booster, and switching suppliers for the 3rd after seeing higher than expected “fail” rates from their originally chosen vaccine.
shots are not vaccine it just turns you into a carrier that is a danger to those not vaccinated
None and done.
And still kicking.
“That may be it for a while, we may not need annual boosters,”
Notice the word “may”. In other words he hasn’t the faintest factual evidence for what he is saying .... just hyping the current correctness.
A heads up. They are now pushing the new improved shingles “vaccine” .... yep, two shot protocol .... any bets that it is Mrna?
2 weeks to flatten the curve.
Just a two week lockdown and we can get back to normal……
This is from Lucy holding the football for Charlie Brown.
“Could Be the Last” is a sentence without meaning. “Could be Michael Jackson’s glove” contains the same amount of information. Zero.
That is what a vaccine for Marek's disease does in poultry. The vaccinated chickens become carriers for ever more lethal variants. Some percentage of the vaccinated flock will still get the disease. They die. Early culling may prevent the spread, but sometimes the entire flock must be culled and the coop disinfected.
100% of the non-vaccinated chickens will die from Marek's disease if exposed to an outbreak.
Does this analogy apply to COVID-19 and the mRNA treatment? I do not know. I hope not, as I have placed my bets on ADE reactions being the future problem. Those may be treatable. A "choice" between a disabling vaccine and a lethal infection is a problem without a solution, at least in this world.
To the oligarchs, we are all just livestock anyway. They believe that nothing they do will have any negative consequences for them. Historical experience suggests they will have unpleasant educations on that viewpoint.
Are you getting it yet? The left is all lies. "Just one more" of anything is never the last. How many times does Lucy have to pull that football away from you Charlie before you realize they are always going to want more. Always, until you make them stop.
Only once. Nobody objected to the vaccinations. Everyone was terrified of the disease, as they should have been. So they were able to eradicate it.
Unfortunately, that kind of trust went out with the hula hoop.
That statement is not applicable to what we’re discussing, besides being wrong.
How come you can say pro-vaxxer but I can’t say anti-vaxxer? Wasn’t that you?
With ya dude
