It is not the military that negotiates with heads of state, with opposing guvmints. It is the state department. So when the question becomes who was doing the negotiating and it “sounds like it depends on the taleban”, that is no longer a military question so you see the guy take a flyer.
It’s not like they ask the state dept. guys what caliber of ordinance is being used to blow our enemies sky high.

Amount of hype, 1-10. Amount of REAL Shiite 1-10. Opposition admits this shiite is real, 1-10.
You want Very Little hype, so it’s in the denominator. You want lotsa RS, lotsa Oppo Shiite, so it’s in the Numerator.
[RS * OS] / Hype -—> [6 * 4] / 10, = 2.4, anything less than 4 is close to nuthinburger.
And everyone else on this thread who has viewed it disagrees.
The clip I posted has a female reporter confirming that we are now relying on the Taliban to get our citizens out. Austin’s response is pure befuddlement and confusion as he has no response.
You can put in whatever values you consider valid. You should say why. I put in what I thought. The more who weigh in, the more weight the value has.
