Joe Biden Tries to Pivot to Pandemic While Americans Still Stuck in Afghanistan

President Joe Biden plans to spend Wednesday pivoting his priorities back to the coronavirus pandemic, even as thousands of Americans remain stranded in Afghanistan.

The president plans to meet with his coronavirus team in the Oval Office on Wednesday afternoon, according to his schedule, before delivering remarks about the pandemic at 4:30 p.m.

The White House is expected to advise Americans to get vaccine boosters eight months after they were first vaccinated.

The White House is also holding a briefing with Biden’s coronavirus team public health officials.

That should be easy. Just make life even more miserable here, and many who *are* thinking about Afghanistan won’t so much.

Meanwhile, the "boosters" haven't even gone through clinical trials yet. How does the FDA even give an emergency use authorization to a treatment that has only just cleared phase one of three?

Except, in most cases the stories can be tempered and/or outright refuted. Alas, this is all they have now. Push the COVID button and watch the fear rats scurry.

They gave up Bagram AFB, released 6-7K Taliban prisoners (we’ll have to fight again elsewhere), 10-40K Americans are left behind, along with thousands more Afghans who helped us in the fight.
