Obviously, you know that you didn’t have to fill in your religion or lack thereof when you signed up. Please list the posters you claim have overruled the owner of this site. I think he’d like to know why they aren’t paying the bills, buying/maintaining the equipment and placating demanding political junkies when the site goes down. Mr. Robinson might even want to retire and enjoy sleeping in the wee sma’ hours as most people do. Of course, that’s just a guess; he might be a night owl as are so many Freepers.

I am Catholic and have had healthy exchanges with non-believers, Jews, Protestants, Evangelicals and others. Mormons kind of get rough treatment here, and falling lockstep behind Romney (though not Reid) did not help things.
I do know that some vitriolic anti-Catholic posts get pulled when needed. When members of my Church behave badly (all too often), a post reflecting on that in a specific manner (that is, doesn’t reflect on all Catholics), and these days we have to post some ourselves to minimize scandal and to clear the record on actual Church teaching and Tradition.
I am pleased with the wealth of solid Catholic-specific resources here on FR. I also respect the CAUCUS headings when they apply.
I do report f-bombs and profanity whenever I find them.
We have plenty of Catholics, non-Catholic libertarians, evangelicals, generic Christians, observant Jews and even non-believers who are respectful that contribute to Free Republic.

Well, now that you've discovered this key requirement, you might as well know about the proper FR dress code too. All those in the know make sure to dress in the proper puritan pilgrim garb, whenever they are posting to or perusing FR.

I have been here since 1998 even before i signed up, and have never had anyone tell me i had to be a white puritan christian to be a poster/commenter on this site.
Now i would make a common sense guess if you started posting insults about the site owner you’d probably get membership yanked.
There are plenty of self professed and obvious by their posts, seflf described athiests and agnostics that get into discusiona and arguments here. At least i now that has happened prett much ever since I’ve been here.
As far as i know they are still here, havent seen any statement from anyone in charge saying they will no longer be allowed here.
What i do see across 23+ years here is unpredictable behavior from admins in terms of what is acceptable or not, many people often do not know what is done wrong as you are not always told, and sometimes you cannot communicate with them to discuss/explain things or even ask for clarification if they suspend you. That is very frustrating.
But no one here has to take an oath or swear a creed or be white, christian etc to have an account. That said if you sign up to be a troll or othwrwise just cause problems here, you will eventually be identified for what you are and most likely shut down.

If you are going to appeal to the first amendment then you must respect those opinions you have decried as hate. Also, in case you aren’t clear the Constitution is about limiting the Federal Government and the first amendment is about limiting Congress.

This is the first I’ve heard of this “rule” and I’ve been around here for about 20 years.
I’ve seen countless comments from atheists, Catholics, Jews and Christians of nearly every stripe. I know there are black conservatives, Asians and Hispanics on this forum. And women, both working and stay at home moms.
Is that diverse enough for you?

I’ve been here since ‘98 and did not know this. I guess I don’t belong because I’M a racial MUTT, not enough of any one or two racial genomes to be classified as such. So I can claim to be a victim or privileged as the situation calls for. But to cover all the bases when it comes to race I just put down American.

I’ve been posting here since 2008 or 2009. Sometimes I get hints of animosity, but only from trolls who I know from other websites - they’re just pretending to be...what did you call it? “White puritan Christian”....? If they’re hating on me, the Xtians that is, I sure can’t tell. (Maybe it’s because I’m stupid!?)
I’ve only been posting a lot here recently because I’m banned from every other site and I’m too lazy to make new accounts. It’s their g*******d loss, right? SCREW that f*g Jack D0rsey anyway!

Traditionally, I don’t get banned from a site until I’ve donated to it - some pathetic amount like $10, which is all I can afford. (Ok, more than I can afford.) They’ll be like, “This wench posts like hell here and upsets all the crimi- ah, regular paying posters who are all deep thinkers, who use our site! And TEN DOLLARS is all she’s going to give us for putting up with her ridiculous crap!? GOODBYE, B****!!!” And down I go.
This is why I haven’t donated to “freerepublic” yet.
