Folks who know of me and my writings are aware that I do not speculate much. But I am going to go ahead a take a leap on this one…
… I fear the current American government is about to collapse.
As I’ve written before, I no longer believe in the left-right dynamic. It’s the ‘narrative-of-the-day’ vs. the rest of us. The evidence is in everyone faces:
• An almost 20 year campaign end with an embarrassing defeat, leaving both civilian personnel on the ground told to hide in place, untold billions of military hardware left behind for our sworn enemies.
• National borders left un-protected, while an unchecked, state-sponsored invasion takes place, with the invaders carrying diseases being used as justification to make Americans ‘enemies of the state’.
• Pending legislation that can only cause un-checked inflation.
• Selected members of the Judiciary using un-checked and un-lawful powers.
• The nation’s treasury being looted; and our currency being devalued – with no end in sight.
• Threats of preventing travel between states.
• The silencing of voices, and the attempted prevention of like-minded Americans to even communicate.
• Pressuring states into nationalizing all elections, thus removing the checks and balances • A questionable (to say the least) election that put these people in power in the first place.
The faith, trust, and respect for this government has been lost – both here and abroad (read the foreign news if you don't believe me). We can skip all the coming CWII talk. It’s already here; we’re already in it. As of now, my only hope outside Divine Intervention is action by state legislatures.
Does anyone think anything will be normal around here by or beyond September 11, 2021?

Only observation I would offer up is that the Confederacy in CWI was primarily interested in being separate from the Union. While the Nation would have been changed (perhaps permanently) if the South had met its objectives, the remaining Union would have been largely left unharmed.
If something pops today along political lines, the first folks in the cross hairs will be right next door. Depending on yard signage and how vocal any of us have been the last few years, your neighborhood lefty loony (and they are in every neighborhood) knows all about us and where the rest of the “mean people” are in their area...
It seems to me that you looking for reasons to justify your prediction, instead of the other way around.
Millions and millions of Americans are going to work and doing what they can for their family. Many are prepping.
So you believe the government is going to collapse. Bills still need to be paid, lawns mowed, groceries bought, meals made and school to attend.

If there are 6,000 troops in a concentrated area with an enemy surrounding them…
If there are thousands of American and Western civilians in a concentrated area…
It would not take much for that powder keg to explode into a real mess. How long could a few batteries of artillery fire into that morass before our counter batteries and air power could respond. By that point, it wouldn’t matter.
And if there are thousands of Allied civilians in country….how long before they are rounded up?
Biden could not survive that. Harris would not get much support.
The Taliban don’t HAVE to win a battle. All war is political. 10-15 minutes could reshape more than 200 years of US history.
Imho for any given circumstance it is wise to have a plan B jic. In circumstances as they are .... one may not be able to formulate enough alternative plans. So I tend to pray

We are in the 4th turning, it’s a realignment of the country/world, we as a people have to get involved.
We have got to get into and take over the low end civic institutions.
The “Government” state and local are the only way to make any kind of change, the federal Government is gone.
The replacement has to be done from dog catcher, school board, police chief, tax assessor, regents, up to the goverors.
All have to be replaced.
My view anyway.
No, I will stick with my comment. In none of those wars did we face a threat, as formidable as China, both militarily and financially. The weapons of today are devastating, ready at a nano second. We have never been more vulnerable because of the current corrupt, dangerous and anti-American administration. Our food chain is easily compromised, and our borders have been open to foreign combatants for years.

Biden’s obvious weakness and incompetence only invites further adventures on the part of those who wish this nation ill.
Oh and another difference, an election year pandemic has turned American against American, and I think you know what that means.
There is a guy installed to look like he is running things while a long term agenda is being implemented.
Same with the O administration. Bush, Clinton, etc.
The election of Trump caught them off guard. They had to make some moves hastily and in the process they have become pretty overt about what they are doing.
IOW, they are going for it all now.

let’s not go wobbly. We know how things should be run. We have the strength and wisdom to do it. Fill the gaps. Take charge.

Agreed 100%. One need only look at some of FReepers that post they hope people get sick from COVID-19 vaccination, or hope that people get sick from a COVID-19 vaccination.
I have not seen it like this on FR before - the hate that growing numbers of FReepers are showing for each other due to disagreeing on any number of issues, but especially COVID-19 vaccinations.
The 2020 election coup demonstrated the oligarchy is all in. They can only dig the hole they are in deeper at this point, otherwise they are off to prison. They must not allow the opposition to get control of Congress or the executive branch. The 2022 election will be 2020 part deux.
I think my post 13 sums it up and clarifies what I really meant by “be prepared”.
In my case, we saw this coming and left seattle for 32 acres in rural Kentucky. But one is never truly prepared for all events. Just watch the first ten minutes of “Inglorious Basterds” to get a feeling for what I’m talking about. Living in the sticks, even if completely self sufficient, is no guarantee of anything.
It’s all about mitigating risk.
