Fact-checking Dr. Dan Stock’s COVID-19 claims at the Mt. Vernon school board meeting: A school board meeting in Hancock County, Indiana has gone viral after a doctor made a lot of COVID-19 claims that don't match recommendations from the CDC

Re: their Kentucky study. Literal Cherry-picking. THEIR OWN PAPER says:

The findings in this report are subject to at least five limitations. First, reinfection was not confirmed through whole genome sequencing, which would be necessary to definitively prove that the reinfection was caused from a distinct virus relative to the first infection. Although in some cases the repeat positive test could be indicative of prolonged viral shedding or failure to clear the initial viral infection (9), given the time between initial and subsequent positive molecular tests among participants in this study, reinfection is the most likely explanation. Second, persons who have been vaccinated are possibly less likely to get tested. Therefore, the association of reinfection and lack of vaccination might be overestimated. Third, vaccine doses administered at federal or out-of-state sites are not typically entered in KYIR, so vaccination data are possibly missing for some persons in these analyses. In addition, inconsistencies in name and date of birth between KYIR and NEDSS might limit ability to match the two databases. Because case investigations include questions regarding vaccination, and KYIR might be updated during the case investigation process, vaccination data might be more likely to be missing for controls. Thus, the OR might be even more favorable for vaccination. Fourth, although case-patients and controls were matched based on age, sex, and date of initial infection, other unknown confounders might be present. Finally, this is a retrospective study design using data from a single state during a 2-month period; therefore, these findings cannot be used to infer causation. Additional prospective studies with larger populations are warranted to support these findings.

These people are utterly dishonest.

I learned to stop reading at the words “fact check” five years ago.

The part that wasn’t fact checked and is the most important is the animal reservoirs. Covid has established animal reservoirs with multiple species meaning it is impossible to have a vaccine that can keep up with variants. I noticed the fact checkers never once talked about the animal reservoirs. Not one but in history has been eradicated that has established animal reservoirs

For the effectiveness of the jabs:

Covid Infection Rate Among Unvaccinated California Residents 522% Higher Than That Of Those Vaccinated

New data on coronavirus vaccine effectiveness may be "a wakeup call" ...[Moderna 76% - Pfizer only 42% effective]

Israel says Pfizer Covid vaccine is just 39% effective as delta spreads, but still prevents severe illness

Every word these vermin say, including "the" and "and" is a lie.

The poster has admitted financial interest in vaccine stock on another thread tonight. I think that has something to do with his choice of articles.

Fact checking using the CDC?

What a joke.

Of course his claims don’t match the CDC. The CDC has been lying to us fromDay One.

Do any of them work? How about think? Coordinate their stories? Actually verify trestle kits before sending them out?

Just government serfs and drones to me.

Not impressed by them or their numbers.

But the N-95 respirators do offer superior protection against both aerosols as well as those droplets,” she continued.

Yeah but...

Most folks wear cloth or paper masks, not N95.

I have no doubt in a controlled environment and with proper training such as a hospital setting masks do offer some measure of effectiveness. But in a general population like in a Walmart or Home Depot, not even close. Its useless kabuki theater.

The CDC is so unreliable, who really knows what their advice is.

If you are relying on information from the CDC, then you are on thin, unreliable ice for your facts and data. You had better find some other source to convince me.

I don't believe a word out of the CDC because they have a political agenda and are not relying on science for their public reports and musings. They are prone to change their answers and reasonings with the shifts in the political winds.

Link: Dr. Rochelle Walensky has made a mockery of the CDC. She has repeatedly proved herself unfit and unreliable.

Text: "It cannot be easy to lead the agency that handles infectious diseases in the midst of an international pandemic. Still, the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention should at least be able to prove she is up to the task. Dr. Rochelle Walensky has repeatedly proved herself unfit and unreliable. She needs to go.

This week, under her direction, the CDC changed its guidance to encourage fully vaccinated adults to put their masks back on in certain situations. This flip-flop is not based in science but in hysteria. Vaccinated adults are not at any more risk of falling seriously ill from the coronavirus and its variants now than they were two months ago when Walensky declared that there was no longer any reason for vaccinated adults to wear masks.

When pressed about the guidance change, Walensky blamed the unvaccinated, who now make up the majority of coronavirus cases and deaths. But this does not justify the CDC’s recent decision. Why should the vaccinated be punished for the bad decisions of the unvaccinated? The former people are safe from the virus and no longer need to worry. Walensky admitted as much herself.

Walensky, then, has eliminated one of the biggest incentives for getting vaccinated — freedom from such restrictions. This will make vaccine-hesitant people less likely to go out of their way to get the shot.

To make matters worse, Walensky also endorsed a vaccine passport system that would require people to prove they are fully vaccinated, or that they recently tested negative for the coronavirus, to gain access to public venues such as restaurants and bars.

These are both serious errors in judgment, but that’s what we’ve come to expect from Walensky. Back in March, she declared vaccinated people “do not carry the virus” at all. The next day, the CDC had to clarify that the data on this was not clear. And now we know that vaccinated persons can, in fact, transmit the virus, even though it is extremely unlikely that they will fall ill from it.

Perhaps her worst failure, however, was her wishy-washy approach to school reopenings. Walensky switched her position on whether social distancing in the classroom was necessary, not once, not twice, but three times. First, she said that three feet of social distancing would be sufficient. Then, it was six feet, and then back to three feet. She offered no scientific reasoning for any of these authoritative statements. That's because she wasn't following the science, but the teachers unions, which successfully bludgeoned Walensky into changing the CDC's draft guidance on school reopenings.

Under Walensky’s guidance, the CDC has become untrustworthy, illogical, and prone to reversing itself based on political nonsense. Its guidance has changed so many times, often in spite of scientific data, that the public can hardly know what to believe. The CDC needs better leadership if it is to maintain even a shred of credibility, and Walensky has proven that she is incapable of using the power entrusted to her."

Is Ivermectin an approved treatment for COVID-19?:

THE QUESTION

Is Ivermectin, Vitamin-D and/or Zinc an approved treatment for COVID-19?

Stock made this claim about 20 minutes into the video, when he said he had successfully treated 15 patients with this cocktail of drugs, vitamins and minerals.

THE ANSWER

No, that treatment plan has not been approved by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) or the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), and studies to determine if the drugs and supplements work are inconclusive.

WHAT WE FOUND

Ivermectin is not approved for use in treating or preventing COVID-19 in humans, the FDA warned.

****************

A deliberate misrepresentation of Dr. Stock's claim. He did not claim that Ivermectin, Vitamin-D, and Zinc were APPROVED, but that they WORKED, a claim that VERIFY avoided.

It should also be pointed out that the so-called vaccines themselves have not been APPROVED but only AUTHORIZED for emergency use.

““What I would tell people is: if you hear stuff like this, that runs completely counter to everything that the scientists and physicians have been telling you for the last 18 months...”

Who you gonna believe?
Decades of virology study generating such common sense concepts as ‘hand washing’, ‘staying home when sick’ and even the contemporary recommendation to ‘sneeze into your sleeve’?
Or, what “...scientists and physicians have been telling you for the last 18 months.”

Asking me if I’m vaxx’d is a 5th Amendment concern.

Takeaway: Stock’s narrative doesn’t match the CDC’s narrative. That alone gives credence to Stock’s narrative.
