In a retrospective analysis in the August 2012 issue of Chest, Dr. Metersky and colleagues reviewed 21,223 Medicare patients with CAP (Community-acquired pneumonia) who were admitted to the hospital. They investigated whether or not patient characteristics can help distinguish those who are at risk for mortality before they were discharged compared with after they were discharged. “This knowledge may help physicians and hospitals select high-risk patients for specific interventions,” says Dr. Metersky. “It may also facilitate the development of methodologies that help determine if a hospital’s post-discharge mortality rates are related to identifiable risk factors or to problems with post-discharge quality of care.” According to findings, 12.1% of the study group died within 30 days of admission. Of these deaths, 52.4% occurred during the hospital stay and 47.6% occurred after discharge. “The number of deaths after discharge in our study was alarming,” says Dr. Metersky. Additionally, seven factors were significantly associated with death prior to discharge (Table 1). Of these seven factors, the three that conferred the highest risk were mechanical ventilation, the presence of bacteremia, and having a BUN level higher than 11 mmol/L.

What increases you chance of getting pnumonia? Wearing a mask for extended periods!
COVID-19 Masks Causing Rise In Bacterial Pneumonia
Dr. James Meehan, MD followed by warning that mask wearing has..“well-known risks that have been well-studied and they’re not being discussed in the risk analysis. I’m seeing patients that have facial rashes, fungal infections, bacterial infections. Reports coming from my colleagues, all over the world, are suggesting that the bacterial pneumonias are on the rise.
“Why might that be? Because untrained members of the public are wearing medical masks, repeatedly… in a non-sterile fashion… They’re becoming contaminated. They’re pulling them off of their car seat, off the rearview mirror, out of their pocket, from their countertop, and they’re reapplying a mask that should be worn fresh and sterile every single time.”
So, of course, schools are forcing children to wear masks all day, thus increasing their chance of catching pneumonia--a disease with a 12% mortality rate, to prevent them from catching COVID (a disease with a less than 1% mortality rate for the young).
Can you say the cure is worse than the disease?
I got the vaccine for pneumonia.
I don't have any anti-mask acquaintances who have contracted pneumonia.
As I mentioned in another thread this morning, my wife us a medical laboratory scientist, and they’ve seen an uptick in pneumonia since these idiotic mask mandates went into effect. People really have no idea how bad bacterial pneumonia is!
The study also mentions mechanical ventilation is an extreme high death risk predictor. The story of the coronavirus death, is the story of ventilator abuse and denial of well proven therapies. They even strung together daisychains of several patients on one ventilator.
There is no more pneumonia, flu or colds just covid.
You have a headache, covid.
You have a cough, covid.
You have a runny nose, covid.
You have a sore back, covid.
You have a nausea, covid.
You have a sore throat, covid.
You have a fever, covid.
You have a tooth ache, covid.
You have a hang nail, covid.
You have a small cut, covid.
Basically all diseases are gone, whatever is wrong with you it’s covid.
Will that shot (2ea) prevent pneumonia while wearing a mask, and how long were masks worn to cause that infection?
Cloth masks: Dangerous to your health?
The widespread use of cloth masks by healthcare workers may actually put them at increased risk of respiratory illness and viral infections and their global use should be discouraged, according to a UNSW study.
The lying scum media try to clai you can’t get bacterial pneumonia fro wearing masks (of course buried somewhere in the lengthy articles is the caveat ‘when worn properly’)
Problem is hardly anyone wears them ‘properly’ and most wear them for weeks on end, and the masks are filthy bacteria riddled globs of microbes.
The pneumonia vaccine was one shot.
I think I got it about 5 years ago.
Haven’t had pneumonia since.
Or elephantitis or malaria or lupus for that matter.
Sarcasm syndrome was pre-existing.
I have no issue with vaccines, I have received them my whole life, get them every year for flu, have had Hep-B, Pneumonia, and Shingles vaccine.
I think everyone who wants one should get it. If you don’t...you don’t.
I am hopping mad about vaccine mandates for ANY kind of vaccine.
A government that can force you to accept an invasive medical procedure against your will can force you to do anything.
Or can do anything to you.
NAC helps counter pneumonia.
Type-2 Covid
Thanks for posting! “the only published randomised controlled clinical trial of cloth masks,......The study found that cloth mask wearers had higher rates of infection”

Gotta love how the left is “blinded” by the science.
I wish medical personnel would grasp that obvious connection.
It also seems to me that extended bed rest whether in hospital or at home contributes to making our body a more receptive host for pneumonia. Especially in a closed off room with minimum exposure to natural light and air.
How many were vaccinated against pneumonia??? All the data suggest that if you take both shots one year apart you are solid for the rest of your life.
Older folks often develop pneumonia……for various age related reasons. Many die. This is not new
There are two. The 19 and the 23. Best practice theseedays is get one then a year later the other. This gives maximum protection
I got my 23 last November. Am scheduled for the 19 this November
My husband has a coworker whose school aged child was diagnosed with necrotizing pneumonia about a month or so ago. The culprit was staph aureus. I think she got it from wearing a mask at school. She got sick right as the school year came to an end. Of course, they didn’t say anything about how she got it, just that she was very unlucky. I do think wearing masks can be harmful to us, if we use them improperly, which most do. People do not wash them enough or dispose of them.
Good luck finding some. Amazon removed it from their website.
