Several weeks ago I noticed that excerpts from articles no longer appear below the article's title, as they used to. I can't find any setting that would restore them. Is there such a setting at the personal level? Or was this a system-wide change? If it was system-wide, I would advocate for restoring the excerpts on the main forum page.
Exactly! I resisted posting this question for weeks because I knew it was right there somewhere.
Moose - Cheese - Sister ... are Trolling subjects on FR..................
Shower, Thailand, and Jim Thompson..... Manatees
Sorry, I still don't get why asking a question like this would be thought to be trolling.
Manatees?.....................
They are inane subjects meant to hijack a thread or give the poster a clue........................
OH THE HUGH MANATEE I am not sure the original context. But mocking of a blimp crashing...
Yes, I remember, I haven’t seen that in awhile!................
Possibly. But not anywhere near beber stuning series...
Thank you. I try to live by it.
Well, I certainly posted it because I needed a clue.
“Sorry, I still don’t get why asking a question like this would be thought to be trolling. “
Lol...it’s not you. You’re not being accused of trolling...don’t take offense. There are just perennial memes & keywords that surface in threads like this. Are you logged in, the Amish, she’s not guilty (depending on her looks), Hugh manatee (for humanity), series (for serious), pancake on a bunny’s head, viking kitties. I’m sure there are more. All just good fun. I was surprised I got in with “Are you logged in?” first because that’s a very standard spoof question in a vanity computer question thread.
Gotcha! Thanks for the explanation. I read a lot on FR (and yes, I’ve donated monthly for years) but I don’t post very often. Some of the Freeper culture goes over my head. No offense taken.
By ‘clue’ I meant they start posting those items to tell the original poster they think the vanity post or the article posted is silly, unnecessary or a ‘waste of bandwidth’ as some say.......................
