MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Since the pandemic began, just 26 of the 11,600 people in Alabama who have died of COVID-19 were fully vaccinated, State Health Officer Scott Harris said Friday.
And most of the nearly 2,000 COVID-19 patients currently in state hospitals are also unvaccinated, he said.
Harris released the numbers as the state tries to boost lagging vaccination rates. Health officials say recent cases resulting in severe illness and death could have largely been prevented if people had gotten inoculated.

Of course vaxenated people are dying — the vax doesn’t provide immortality. So would it be financially counterproductive for a pharma-dependent hospital to mention that the vaxed individuals are dying “with” or “from” SARS? Doing so might put that hospital in a suboptimal supply pricing tier.

With mild or extensive symptoms? Do the infected vaxed tend to stay home because they’re more comfortable riding out the symptoms?
These reports shouldn’t be dismissed out of hand, but it makes sense to question the veracity of the data, the contributing factors, and the sources.
This recent pattern of reporting is itself suspicious — seems coordinated, may not be, be certainly appears to be.

Of course, there’s no science out there to explain the “science”, but my take on this mRNA vaccination method is that it is supposed to be both rapid to develop and cheap to produce and distribute. The “spike” sequence RNA has to be isolated, and the techniques are already understood for that, as the current vaccine demonstrates. I expect that mRNA production is simple chemically driven RNA replication, so no biologicals in production — cheap and rapid to get into production. The lipid encapsualization and other components of making an injectable are the same for any mRNA.
So, when does a Delta vaccine show up? That ought to give us a pretty good clue as to how long this first vaccine actually took to develop, if it cannot be done rapidly.
If it’s fast, as I think it should be 2nd time around, then get Delta out there, now. Target Delta and try to drive this back to the original strain as dominant. The already vaxed and recovered should be well protected.

That’s not clear. There’s exactly zero specific data in that statement regarding actual numbers or timelines. The headline is completely misleading. Later in the article it does report this little fact. But that clearly isn’t the message of the headline. You posted misleading propaganda. Own it.

There is literally no such thing as an MNRA vaccine.
Additionally, we truly have not eliminated any virus by vaccine, in the history of vaccines.
Polio was greatly reduced in the Western world due to hygene. Much of the world still suffers from polio. As well, we are seeing a bit of a bump again in the West.

20% of their new cases are among unvaccinated people. They still have plenty of unvaccinated people there.
And they’ve had 1 death since the middle of March. 1. Before the vaccine rollout, they were in the top 3 for deaths per 1 million at 2,821. Now they’re dropping because they’ve had just 1 COVID-19 death in 5 months.

Actually, I always thought it was funny that people got money to develop a vaccine for something that disables your immune system. Maybe the first vaccine actually worked decades ago, but since the virus disables your immunity, it sort of turned out to be a dud.

My wife and I, both in our sixties, had it in January/February of 2020 before it had a name and survived without doctor visits or drugs, and I have the IgG and IgM antibodies to prove it.
