MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Since the pandemic began, just 26 of the 11,600 people in Alabama who have died of COVID-19 were fully vaccinated, State Health Officer Scott Harris said Friday.
And most of the nearly 2,000 COVID-19 patients currently in state hospitals are also unvaccinated, he said.
Harris released the numbers as the state tries to boost lagging vaccination rates. Health officials say recent cases resulting in severe illness and death could have largely been prevented if people had gotten inoculated.

I’m really curious why they mention “unvaccinated”. Alabama is trying too hard to sell the lie if you as me. Everywhere else its how the vaccinated are getting infected, except in upside down “we don’t lie our asses of f” Alabama. No one is buying it!

In my humble opinion, the vaccine was in the works at the same time as the virus. Trump was played by Fauci and the Swamp. They probably even talked to him about HCQ, so that he would mention it as a hope, and it could be banned in states where use might show it as an effective remedy. Don’t get me wrong, Trump played the best hand he could. The Swamp and their new allies in China played the worst.
I take it that you are not expert enough to comment on a vaccine targeting Delta.
I agree with your assessment of Trump’s accomplishment, but think this method of vaccination leaves much to be desired. Though I can see the industry’s interest in what may be a completely chemical manufacturing process, the method of using patient body cells, selected apparently at random, is, I believe, problematic.

More crap stats from the medical spokespeople. 80-95% of the Covid deaths in Alabama were from pre-April 2021 when the vaccine was not even available to most people so of course the large majority of deaths were amongst the unvaccinated. And now they say “most” hospitalized are unvaccinated but won’t give specific numbers.

Also approved in Israel:
AstraZeneca - but only claimed to be 60% effective against COVID after two doses. Maybe less for the delta variant.
Moderna — Just approved this week, so no influence on statistics.
Pretty sore the rescinded AZ approval.
I live in rural Alabama; there are people in my community that I either know or know of that have gotten serious cases of Covid. These include my barber, contractors, and merchants which I do business with, as well as relatives of my friends. At least one person I know has died recently. I know of no one who has gotten COVID that also had the shot (I ask). I realize this not a scientific sample.
But the headline is so dramatic! It’s the drama that counts not the facts

I’m in central Alabama. We are definitely open. I was in Montgomery Friday. One odd thing I noticed. Nearly all whites and Hispanics are not masked. Blacks are just the opposite. However we are being told Blacks are not getting vaccinated. Their mask use sure indicates that they are scared of the virus, you would think they would want the shots.

The question is what is the percentage of people who died of the fake disease as it relates to the total population. That’s all that matters….
