Allyson Felix has become the United States' most decorated track and field athlete in Olympics history after winning gold with her American team-mates in the 4x400m relay – her 11th medal in total.
The gold medal means Felix passes Carl Lewis as the USA's most decorated athlete after a dominant race inside the Olympic Stadium.
Poland continued their impressive relay run in Tokyo, having won the inaugural 4x400 mixed race, with an excellent silver while Jamaica, who had won silver three times in a row, had to settle for bronze.
The USA could probably have fielded three teams and swept the podium such is their strength over the distance but their 'first team' was dripping with quality.

Felix is a minister’s daughter and credits her success to her faith in God. Not sure about her politics, but some of her values are in the right place.
Bravo to the special lady. I’ve had a great time watching these Olympics.
But, is she a kneeler or a proud American?
To me that’s more important than how fast she runs.
Really wish people would stop posting about it. Could care less about the exploits of these Anti-American, woke princes and princesses. Pleased to see that Japan apparently beat the US in baseball this morning however.

I’ve been visiting relatives all over lately - none of them have had it on and we barely talked about it - in past years it was the most exciting event of the summer.
Seems it’s not just my (extended) family that isn’t watching and doesn’t care - except to cheer when certain teams (like women’s soccer) lose.
I really like Felix and have never seen anything other than the right stuff from her. YOU GO GIRL!

I haven’t seen anyone kneel in the Olympics. Most are incredibly happy to represent the US and wrap themselves in the flag. You let a handful of over hyped soccer players color your entire world.
Exactly…other than one or two woke athletes, the vast majority have been very proud to represent the US…sick of these posters chiming in on how little they watch the olympics because of unpatriotic athletes when that is patently false!
It’s NBC that is the problem with their focus on the woke athletes.
We were all hoping the USA women’s soccer team would not win a medal.
It’s really quite impressive how unbelievably persuasive information operations can be! The military has known this for decades!
