So because of the CDC mandate for landlords to NOT evict people...
What happens if the person who is not paying their rent is a either service member, a military contractor or a government employee?
3rd text:
"No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law."
We are NOT at war....
Even if we were, the CDC edict is NOT lawful anyways (prescribed by law).
and this is certainly WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF THE OWNER!
“why nobody declares war anymore”
It has always been my view that the United Nations ‘moratorium’ on warfare is creating a pressure cooker effect on global politics. The pressure keeps increasing because the wars are always artificially resolved. They resolve the conflicts without addressing the underlying issues. Like with gun control, only the one’s willing to abide by the rules have to follow them. And there’s an increasing number that do not.
Ultimately the pressure cooker will explode and it will be an ugly ugly scene.
Good catch.
“It has always been my view that the United Nations ‘moratorium’ on warfare is creating a pressure cooker effect on global politics. “
That’s a very interesting thought. I can’t recall which general said it, but he was modern. It went something like this. (Very loosely stated.) Don’t tell me war doesn’t work. You kill the enemy. Do that and the conflict is over. If you don’t kill the enemy, then, yes, the conflict never ends.
Third Amendment?!?! Pfft. As the late Joe Sobran liked to point out, the Constitution poses no threat whatsoever to our present form of government.
The Constitution is an amazing document. One of a kind in the annals of history. The people who use it as toilet paper, now they are indeed not worth a damn.
Then of course what does it say about the rest of us who sit back, take it, and only bark at the moon?
The Constitution? How quaint!
Indeed. I think General Patton said something similar, I’ll also butcher the exact quote but something like “weapons are used to fight wars but it takes men to win them”.
Here's the reality of the situation.
It's 2021 and the America is ruled by Woke Marxism.
The Constitution is irrelevant because it was written by white slave owning males and the Supreme Court is illegitimate because Mitch McConnell stole Merrick Garland's rightful seat and President Trump wouldn't let the Democrats pick RBG's replacement.
Evict someone? The cops aren't going to do it. Not in blue cities. And if you try to evict someone yourself, a Soros-bought district attorney will ensure you rot in prison.
This is where we are right now.
Trump nominee Kavanaugh led the way by saying “Yeah, unconstitutional, but...”
"No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation."
This is effectively taking private property for public use without just compensation. The Government can order no evictions, but must compensate the property owners if rent is not received from the tenant.
“The Constitution? How quaint!”
Based Scotty
What about moving to a fancy hotel and refuse to leave!
HAHAHAHA. You think that old scrap of paper signed by evyil slave holding white men means anything?

No republic has lasted more than 200+ years!
[ What about moving to a fancy hotel and refuse to leave! ]
Make sure it is owned by a liberal gazillionaire and make a stand!
Excellent IDEA!
Why not? The government has been validating invalid contracts for decades.
That is the one right there...
I ask that question every year.
“Do you own your home?” is a sarcastic, wry, and rhetorical question, on forms.
Yeah...until you don’t pay your taxes.
