All this will do is trigger folks into long-distance drives to NV, Az or Oregon....buy a ton of meat, and put up a fridge or freezer (adding more electrical use) to store it.

If they decide to do this, I can see myself packing up some bacon, driving over to California (from Arizona), staying in a KOA for a few days, and frying bacon at my campsite every morning. It would drive people nuts.
