It wasn't exactly my finest hour, but it does go to prove that anyone can be scammed if the circumstances are exactly right. There were a few unfortunate incidents just prior to this phishing email and I explain how I was convinced to delete me own YouTube channel.

I’m glad to learn there are at least 2 other freepers who can still comprehend what posts are about.
What happened was that a scammer suckered him into deleting his account himself. They were after his add revenue with an account switch. They intended to get his account deleted and the access transferred to their control so the add revenue would go to the scammer. He finally realized what they were doing when the scammer didn't know what two stage authentication was. Then he was able to get YouTube/Google to restore his account with all his data a few days later. It's a pretty interesting video.
Not to my knowledge. I don’t think I’ve heard of this person.
People post without really going beyond what was posted. Even I am guilty of that at times. 🙂
