Covid cases continued to rise in Los Angeles County on Thursday, albeit more slowly. The raw number of daily cases rose 17% in the past week, to 3,248. That’s roughly half of the 7,458 cases recorded in California on Thursday, even though Los Angeles County’s population accounts for only roughly 25% of the state’s residents.
Driving this rise, according to Los Angeles County Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer, have been more affluent communities on the West Side including Beverly Hills, Bel-Air, Beverly Crest, Venice, Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Encino. The winter surge was driven by higher case rates in Central L.A. See map below.

what do you want to bet that the increase of covid cases is tied to air travel over summer for vacations. normal pattern for the flue is air travel over holidays causes flue to increase. at this point over summer you have a lot of people that isolted themselves who now with covid shots are traveling again...this is why its in the more affluent places that covid is increasing....just me speculating not saying I am right just a guess

And with whom do you think those migrants live now? I would guess with family already established in LA and who do the grunt work for wealthy white families as housekeepers, pool boys, gardeners and nannies. So an outbreak in the wealthy neighborhoods is quite understandable.
