I don’t think Craig Morton is considered a great Nfl quarterback, but in a playoff(?) game with the Denver Broncos, the camera showed him puking on the sideline, then put his helmet on and went back in. He had the flu.

There was a time when American athletes would have done that but now we get individuals of weak character who fold when the chips are down because they can’t take the pressure and everyone can “ feel their pain”

We’re truly f*cked as a country.

Yes, contrast with our so-called Olympian team leader walking out of the competition in perfect health because she was having a bad day.

An American woman took gold in the individual foil. That ain’t too shabby.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t another American woman step up and take the gold?

There are brave American athletes too, the point is what the media and politicians focus on, as opposed to what other countries focus on.

A Nation that doesn’t Honor its heroes will be ruled by one that does.

I twisted my ankle playing football in jr high but kept on going.

https://news.yahoo.com/roc-why-russia-cant-display-095149367.html

For the second Olympics in a row — but not the last — Russian athletes are not competing under the name or flag of their home country and their national anthem does not play at medal ceremonies.

Instead, because of an anti-doping penalty partially upheld by the international Court of Arbitration for Sport last year, the Russians are competing for the “Russian Olympic Committee.”

The acronym, ROC, has appeared often on the scoreboard and on TV screens during the Tokyo Games.

Russian Olympic Committee.

Russia is not allowed to use the country name this time, The country flag cannot be used, and the national anthem, I think, is not played when a Russian wins gold

The sanctions were imposed because the Russians were doping so much even the IOC noticed.

I actually think most Russians are going, “What’s the big deal, that’s what you’re expected to do.”

This is a country that still celebrates defeating Hitler every year, at the cost of 20 million lives.

Kinda destroys the whole "strong and brave" narrative that Ms Biles apologists have been promoting, don't it?
