I don’t think they know enough to say. I’m sure they put out a lot of propaganda, but I think the ‘truth’ is that they just don’t know much.

But the majority of scientists and docs have built their response on knowledge of prior epidemics and their ‘best guesses’.
You’re kind of on your own, in this mess. Gather all the knowledge you can, and use your own best judgment. Government isn’t going to ‘save’ us with regard to this or any other issue.
