According to the latest reports, Cape Cod, Massachusetts, is now considered to be the shark capital of the world ...Above is what the author wrote but another editor decided to sensationalize the article by adding the word "attack" in front of Capitol..
The shark "Attack Capitol" title belongs to New Smyrna Beach, Florida."
This article is primarily about the United States having more than its share of shark attacks . (non fatal). -Tom

About forty years ago animal rights protesters put an end to the baby seal hunt that occurred every winter off the coast of New England. The seal population increased. The sharks noticed and expanded their hunting grounds. Nature abhors a vacuum.Try not to look like a seal if you really need to swim off Cape Cod.

There is so much we can learn from Great White Sharks.

“We’re providing the information and people aren’t absorbing it.” At least not as fast as sharks are absorbing people, according to Sarah Waries, CEO of Shark Spotters, a beach-safety program that flies a flag, sounds an alarm and attempts to actively clear swimming areas after shark sightings and still meets resistance.
Maybe stubborn American independence is alive after all?
