We’re all familiar with ‘credit scores’, where financial institutions track how responsible you are with your hard-earned money to assign you a value determining the loans and cards you are eligible to apply for.
However, a new scoring system being trialled in China (set to become standard practice by 2020) and currently under consideration in Europe is far less discussed despite the fact it may eventually become an integral part of our day to day lives.
HOW WOULD THE SOCIAL CREDIT SCORE AFFECT ME? This system monitors a lot more than your financial savviness. It involves governmental and financial institutions ranking your everyday behaviour – both online and via CCTV monitoring – and has been dubbed the ‘social credit score’.
Essentially, everything from the way you spend your money and behave on social media to the people you associate with would affect your score and whether you are rewarded or punished.
To find out how well you would rank under these conditions and whether you would be eligible for rewards or social restrictions, take our Surviving the Social Credit Score quiz.

Disappointing. I was hoping to be just terrible.
By 5 seconds!
This test is crap. Only 35 percent admitted to breaking a driving law? BS! It should be 100 percent. Everyone has at least broke the speed limit in their lives.
Wait. That’s 5 minutes. I really am terrible today.
That test was as useless as boobs on a hog.
Bad to terrible here too and proud of it!
I got good to excellent with the arrow pointing to the bottom of the green.
Mine too. The whole point of the quiz is to encourage conformity. It’s anti 1A, 2A, you name it. Coitus them and the equine they rode in on.
So was mine!
I found it amusing how when I answered in the affirmative to the questions about have you ever criticized the government or have you ever disobeyed a traffic law, and it popped up with a very LOW percentage or people had answered the way I had, it shows how many people lie. Come on! EVERYBODY and I mean everybody has driven over the speed limit or followed too closely at least once, which qualifies for “have you ever.” Based on what I witness daily, 90% of people drive over the speed limit.
And the question about posting an article without checking the facts - how does one ever know if something is truly factual. Remember during the election how posting of every story about the cheating was followed by “this has been debunked”? All that ultimately means is that “someone with power dislikes this, therefore we declare this to be a lie.”
I flunked
It’s a trap.
Some of the questions were worded in a way to be difficult because no explanation is allowed.
For instance:
Have you ever crossed the street without looking both ways?
I said yes because I did once, when I was a kid, I ran to my parents car to pick me up from the library and almost got hit by a car. I got a big ole spankin’ and then some hugs and a lecture and never did that again.
I was being honest.
I guess the point is, you can also be caught lying and that would reduce your score or cause you to be committing a crime.
mine too: bad to terrible
winner!
I’m not taking a data collecting test. That statement alone just got me put on someone’s list.
What Life Under China’s Social Credit System Could Be Like
Black Mirror - Nosedive episode - airport social score scene
“Why are we copying Communist China now?”
Because many of our businesses, universities and fed gov players are kissing Chinese ass now, for the $$$.
Part of The Great Reset, which requires strong social controls. 1984 style. Masking and isolating dictates are a proof of concept trial, and we showed ourselves to be sheep.
