“Chop their head off”

Nah, there’s sharp objects involved with that.

Simply grab the chicken by the neck and rotate your arms so the chicken rotates in a clockwise or counterclockwise rotation and the neck twists and snaps as easy as you please...and the chicken is taken care of, without blood pumping all over and a beheaded chicken running around bashing and itself up.

Or if the grip is the opposed overhand, crack it like a whip.

There’s a two handed version for smaller bird and I beleive it’s called crowning.

I won’t put too fine of a point on it, but I’ve always used a killing cone for butchering chickens, but my Grandma always used the ‘chop their heads off’ method...in inner-city Milwaukee where I grew up.

No strangers ever messed with my Grandma, and we kids NEVER sassed her, LOL! :)

Tried to do that once and only gave the hen a chiropractic adjustment. When she came walking out if the woods the next morning after I had pitched the body to the wild things I was floored.
