The political leadership of the country, specifically including the Liberal Party (which is the conservative alternative to Labor), is committed to the hopeless task of preventing human contact until the virus simply disappears.
The enormous cost to mental health, to medical examination and treatment of other maladies, to the survival of small business, and to the education of children is totally ignored, trying to suppress a virus that has a survival rate above 99%. Moreover, the experience of Sweden demonstrates that lockdowns are unnecessary, and that building herd immunity ultimately saves lives.
So insane are the power-mad politicians that a Queensland woman was arrested for arranging delivery of cigarettes via drone while in a hotel quarantine, even though we now know that transmission of the virus by touching a surface rarely occurs.
It is unsurprising that citizens of Sydney erupted in a large scale protest yesterday, with a police official placing the number of demonstrators at three and a half thousand, while others estimated a far larger figure. This video scans part of the crowd:

If somebody is charged, then that somebody must be tried. As a juror, I have vowed to embrace activism for a growing number of crimes, or crime victims. This would be one such occasion.

I generally don't bring my phone with me anywhere, but do wear a Seiko self winding watch, and carry a GoPro whenever I'm doing something that might turn out to be an adventure. Maybe the latter can be tracked since it has blue tooth, but they would have to hack the thing to find the serial number and then trace it back to the lot that was sold to the store, and then the store would need to see who bought GoPros from them. Would they go arrest everyone who bought a GoGro from a major box store? Probably. We live in a nascent global police state. Unless people rise up like the Aussies and French and stop it now.
Arrest them all and create a nightmare backlog in the local courts so real criminals cannot have court dates.
The Sydney police are bigger fools than the politicians.
People ultimately must give consent to be governed unless you plan to shoot all protestors. Even the old Soviet Union fell apart when enough people stopped the circus.

People are really not taht different in America. There are plenty of little totalitarians; just look at those that appear on FR whenever someone dares criticize HOA rules or z” the Vax”.

Western formally free countries being communized by criminals inside their governments. Now what country can the citizens run to if they want to escape government thuggery? There’s no where left to run so they had better plan to stand their ground and clean out the communist criminals from their own governments. The USA must take the lead on this too!
