LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -- The push to get vaccines to everyone is personal for some people. Friday afternoon, a group of local volunteers tried to convince the unvaccinated to get vaccinated.
Since the beginning of las month, Mi Familia Vota has been knocking on doors throughout Las Vegas. The group, made up of volunteers, is specially targeting Hispanic neighborhoods, talking to Latinos about the vaccine.
Mi Familia Vota vaccine canvas “The Eastside is a lot of Hispanics and a lot of Hispanics don’t normally believe in vaccines in my experience, that was the thing with my family,” volunteer Leticia Rios said.
Rios's parents had COVID-19 and did not plan on getting vaccinated until she changed their minds. While she has not had COVID-19 herself, the pandemic has forever changed her life.
“I was a senior in high school and everything had to be shut down… I didn’t have a graduation. I didn’t have a prom... everything got shut down and I got really scared because I was like, ‘When is this going to end?’” Rios said.
A year and a half later, Rios is volunteering her time with the goal of helping the end of the pandemic come sooner.
She said most people are receptive to her message, but she never knows exactly what to expect knocking on a stranger’s door.
“There’s like just a few that say ‘no thank you’ and slam the door and you know its fine. We try to push to get vaccinated but if it’s an absolutely no for them you know that’s up to them,” Rios explained.
Rios tried to share with people who were hesitant why getting everyone vaccinated is so important to her.
“I just want our communities to be safe... the sooner we get through this the better,” Rios said.
The pop-up COVID-19 vaccination events in the neighborhoods offered anyone who goes free food and school supplies for kids.
Mi Familia Vota is hosting two events this weekend. The first event is at the Meadows Mall on Saturday, July 24, from 11 A.M. to 7 P.M.. On Sunday, July 25, the Universal Church on east Desert Inn Road is hosting an event from 4 P.M. to 8 PM..
She should be personally liable for any adverse effects in someone she “convinces”.
What would you say to a junkie holding a needle in an alley, if he asked you the same question?
Yeah, thought so.
;)
It’s 5 o’clock, somewhere.
:D
Here, it’s an issue of people trespassing on the Dobermanns’ lawn.
They own it.
I just mow it.
;D
From what I’ve read, the jab DOES NOT PREVENT getting covid, only lessens the symptoms. Bueller? Bueller? 💉🐂💨💩
maybe we need to adopt their model
have people going door to door with the dangers of these vaxxes
heres a pamphlet, on the back here are web sites to research and verify whats in the panmphlet being accurate
jey ifmits about choice and wanting communities to be safer, maybe we should take a page out of their playbook
Minnesota Woman Has Both Legs & Hands Amputated After Receiving Experimental Pfizer COVID-19 Jab
jen psaki gave us the perfect response when confronted by the doorknockers...
“why do you need to have that information”...
then close the door...
And your comment makes you the everyday pussy. And everyone knows it. Proud?
You seem to be mistaken and more than a little bit gay.
Keep on fantasizing though.
It’s free.
HAHA! Yep.
“So ... “I”, “I”, “I”, “I” ... “I” was inconvenienced so manipulated my parents to do something stupid.”
This is ubiquitous among this type. It’s not about helping other people.
“Minnesota Woman Has Both Legs & Hands Amputated After Receiving Experimental Pfizer COVID-19 Jab”
The good news is, she lost 55 pounds!
This is not a vaccine. The jab is an mRNA package in a nano lipid or fat envelope delivered to a cell. It’s a medical device designed to stimulate a cell into becoming a pathogen creator by creating the known to be harmful spike protein.
Vaccine is a defined term in law and under CDC and FDA standards. A vaccine has to stimulate an immunity in the person receiving it. And it must also disrupt transmission. That’s not what this is. Even the drug manufacturers admit the jab or its mRNA does not stop transmission.
The jab is a treatment, but if it’s discussed as a treatment it would not get the sympathetic ear of public health officials because people would ask what other treatments there are. And alternative treatments would hamper FDA’s ability to issue emergency approval of the jabs as a vaccine.
Defining the narrative with the term vaccine is a sucker punch to open and free discourse. “Vaccine” throws the discussion into one of pro/con vaccine. The jab is a mechanical device in the form of a very small packet of technology inserted intoe the human system to activate the cell to become a pathogen manufacturing site.
No basis exists to stipulate this is a vaccine. Simply put, this is a chemical pathogen device meant to unleash chemical pathogen production within a cell. It’s a medical device, not a drug. The jab is not a living or biologic system, but rather a physical technology that just happens to come in the size of a molecular package.
I don’t know which angers me more. The Spanish in a nation were the money is printed in English or little health Nazis coming to the door.
They’d have better luck at the slots as opposed to getting me to the door.
