I still don’t think the Games will make it all the way through.
If you were to ask the Japanese, they wouldn’t be said at all.
This is a lifetime dream for many of these athletes. They've know for a while that this bug could screw things up...I bet many got the shots, despite the potential to impact their short-term training and long term health.
And it could all land in the lumberyard anyway.
The comparison is worth mentioning: the 1972 Munich Games continued after that tragedy, but they'd shut these games down for a bug that has a survival rate between 99.99% and 99.87% for the likely age bracket of these athletes.
