TOKYO — The Latest on the Tokyo Olympics, which are taking place under heavy restrictions after a year’s delay because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The very first match of the Olympic beach volleyball tournament has been canceled because a Czech player tested positive for COVID-19.
Markéta Sluková tested positive earlier this week, knocking her and partner Barbora Hermannova out of the Tokyo Games.
The Czechs were supposed to be playing a team from the host country that would have been making its Olympic debut. Instead, the Japanese pair of Megumi Murakami and Miki Ishii earned the victory by default.
Sluková is one of at least three members of the Czech team who have tested positive since their arrival in Japan, including men’s beach volleyball player Ondřej Perušič.
The team has said it’s investigating if the outbreak of COVID-19 is linked to its charter flight to Tokyo.

There are plenty of effective treatments for the Wuhan virus. The only problem with them is none of them are profitable for Big Pharma. The rational course of action is to stop worrying so much about the virus and use Vitamin C, nebulized hydrogen peroxide, hydroxychloroquine+zinc, and ivermectin to treat people who have actual symptoms, not just a positive test. My guess is that almost no one would die of the Wuhan virus if they were treated effectively on the onset of symptoms.

This is a lifetime dream for many of these athletes. They've know for a while that this bug could screw things up...I bet many got the shots, despite the potential to impact their short-term training and long term health.
And it could all land in the lumberyard anyway.
The comparison is worth mentioning: the 1972 Munich Games continued after that tragedy, but they'd shut these games down for a bug that has a survival rate between 99.99% and 99.87% for the likely age bracket of these athletes.
And if they exclude so many athletes for getting COVID, it’s pretty much going to mean that a lot of Gold Medals will come with an asterisk, because they didn’t face the best competition.
Dr. Thomas E Levy is a board-certified cardiologist who got a law degree and passed the bar exam just for fun, and after that has become probably the world’s leading authority on the therapeutic use of vitamin C. So when he prefers nebulized peroxide to vitamin C as a treatment for the Wuhan virus, I take it seriously. According to Dr. Levy it is possible for a person to harm themselves with peroxide, but not with the 3% peroxide that is commonly sold for home use. My own experimentation (3 times) is when I was well and used nebulized peroxide it irritated my sinuses and caused mucus formation (twice), but when I had a persistent cough nebulized peroxide made the cough go away in 16 minutes, with no other side effects. Anyway, Dr. Levy’s book and article are free, and after spending ~$20 for a nebulizer, peroxide is also almost free. It’s a nightmare for Big Pharma, and that’s exactly what Dr. Levy wants. Spread the news.
I didn’t see it mentioned but I believe the only people who enjoy watching beach volleyball are men, young and old, who like to see almost naked women. To me it’s a disgusting performance no better than what I imagine pole dancing to be. Only this is done in broad day light.

Still going with the “dr” tihing — well I know of exactly one doctor who is calling for nebuilized peroxide — seems to me he is the outlier. And while your colleague is enamored with degrees, I am not sure what his law degree has to do with his lack of basic understanding of chemistry and free radicals.
But that is a course of study that requires some actual scientific background which is sorely lacking on this forum,
