I dated a pro beach volleyball player.
I flew hang gliders in socal but her shoulders were way more massive.
Weird dating someone that can kick your ass if they had too.
Miss her. We had great fun.
I still don’t think the Games will make it all the way through.

Yeah, back in the day, I dated a Danish nanny over here on a visa who ran ten miles every morning without fail. And yes, she was a pretty 6’ blonde with the build, strength and endurance of a triathalon competitor. I miss her, too, but she wore me down to a nubbin that summer.

IIRC just about every city that’s hosted the Olympics in recent years has come to regret it. And for 2020 we can add the Wuhan Flu to all the other problems that Tokyo will be experiencing.

I just got done watching the opening ceremony. All of these athletes worked their buttons off to be there. What a kick in the teeth to get sick at all let alone Covid. Just sad.
Especially since they had that gaijin lit the Flame, they are pissed about that, since she hadn’t even lived in Japan since she was 3.

Exactly. People are wishing her a fast and full recovery. But who’s to say there is anything to recover from?
The petition to stop the game was initialized by blue-hairs who don’t look good in bikinis.
TBH, & IMHO, the girls beach volleyball and beach handball are the only things worth watching.;^)
