LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – Los Angeles County is reporting 3,058 new COVID-19 cases, the first time since mid-February the daily number has topped 3,000. Another seven deaths are also being reported.
With COVID-19 cases up 80% in LA County in the past week, health officials are urging continued vigilance.
With the spike in numbers, Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Burbank is reconstructing its COVID unit to account for an influx of patients. The center will convert 30 ICU rooms into negative pressure rooms for increased demands.
About 6 weeks ago, there were zero COVID patients at the Burbank hospital. But that has changed since the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

I just got back from our local nursery. I commented to the nice young lady helping me load the car how nice it was to have the nursery back to normal. She said what you said — let’s just get on with life because this thing is going to be with us forever.

They have let THOUSANDS of Illegals in who tested POSITIVE and Bused them all over the Country. Now they are worried about the “New Variant” and they want the rest of us, who ARE Vaccinated, to wear a mask after they told us we are not able to catch any Virus or give it to anyone else. They need to clean up the ILLEGALS mess they have unleashed in our country, THEN Vaccinate them and make THEM and anyone else who is not vaccinated wear masks. No wonder people aren’t getting vaccinated when the Government can’t make up their mind if it keeps people safe from the Virus or not! Jeesh!!

In the last month, Providence St. Joseph and its sister hospitals in Southern California have seen an increase of Covid patients by nearly 600%. Nearly all of the patients were unvaccinated.

This is the cycle of California. It will peak mid August, and then decline. It will start back up again end of October. That is the nature of the bioweapon.
