Forty percent of all new cases this week have been recorded in Florida, Texas and Missouri, White House pandemic response coordinator Jeff Zients revealed at a press briefingThursday.
Florida alone accounts for 20 percent of all new cases nationally, Zients pointed out, a trend that has stretched into its second week.
Zients added that “virtually all” hospitalizations and deaths — a full 97 percent — are among unvaccinated people. “The threat is now predominantly only to the unvaccinated,” he said. A few vaccinated people do experience so-called breakthrough infections, but they tend to experience only mild COVID-19 illness, or no illness at all.

I live in Palm Beach County. Numbers were recently posted by zip code for the percentage of vax in each zip code. “Palm Beach,” proper, approached 100%, which is probably not far from reality. The $$$$ zip codes had 80% or more vax. Cities like Riviera Beach and areas by Lake Okeechobee(extreme poor) had very, very low numbers. It’s a rich vs. poor thing in this county. I am also hearing from restaurant workers(quietly) that people are getting sick...
Letting in hundreds of thousands infected illegals is the same strategy as pushing infected sick people into nursing homes. It’s the dem’s covid playbook.

And what are the actual numbers? The average reader will probably think the actual numbers are way higher than they are.
I read earlier that they don’t count cases for the vaccinated unless they are hospitalized. So a state with lower vaccinations will have more cases. It makes good Republican bashing headlines.
Frightened Democrats in those states are invited to move out.

Do you think maybe the “other reports” you’ve been seeing are the ones with a political agenda
Because what this says looks more like what we are experiencing in reality, and makes the most sense
Only consolation is while the numbers go up, the deaths may not because most of the vulnerable were vaccinated
