I guess. I cant say I am much of a fisherman. I do occasionally fish, but unless it was under limit, I would be eating what I caught. I wouldnt be fishing for ‘catch and release’. I guess for some that is relaxing.
Those lakes are kind of unusual. They used to stock them (they still may) with exotics. Fishermen in that area like to conserve the resource. If it were more accessible, I trust that some of my fellow Oregonians would have laid waste to the resource. Even if he kept those fish, he’d have left them in his car at his next stop. I guess my take-away is “Hey, the lakes aren’t crowded.” They were once kind of notorious for their “Gore-Tex hatch.” ...upscale fly fishermen out of Bend in float tubes and kayaks.
The guy screwed up. Never should have left the car as late as he did. It all starts there. Even people that live here underestimate the rain forest. People that don’t live here have no idea. Old boy did well not to die of exposure.
