Saturday, 7-17-2021, at 9 a.m., thieves stole a 1 ton truck from my friend's oilfield service business east of Austin, TX. My friend was home and did not notice the brazen theft right under his nose.
He noticed Monday morning when his crews needed the truck for work. The GPS unit hidden in the truck allowed him to find it in Austin where it had been stripped of all equipment/tools on the bed and left near a homeless encampment. The police were not eager to enter that area according to my friend. He was only able to recover what was left of the truck because the thieves had left it to see if it had a tracker and planned to come back and get the rest later.
The homeless encampment is near a row of low end shops run by you-know-who. The Austin police and city government know this is going on and have done little to nothing about it. We are turning into Mexico here with open season on all of peoples' possessions for the political gain of politicians who live protected by high security.
We are now third-world.
My company ordered three F-150’s just before the lockdowns. It’s for a project I’m sort of managing. We still haven’t hired the employees. They are just sitting in the parking lot at our warehouse. I worry about the catalytic converters getting ripped off.
Open the borders.
Defund the police.
Why not? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If it feels like we are in a Communist Revolution it is because we are.
Austin?
That explains everything..........................
You and your friend have my sympathies. This has been going on for decades. I had my small pickup truck stolen out of a San Diego public parking lot in broad daylight back in 1989. A detective working for my auto insurance company (Allstate) found it in the possession of the Tijuana police department a couple of weeks later. At which point all they could do was offer me a check.
I might pick up some for deterrence use.
the thieves had left it to see if it had a tracker and planned to come back and get the rest later.

Dat some smart thieves or a great mind reader.
They sell little GPS trackers for around $30. $20 per month no contract service.
The only question would be whether or not to call the cops after you track the vehicle to it’s thieves, or deal with the thieves yourself...
The illegal alien inundation is bipartisan.
Until Trump no Republican would even attempt to secure the border. When he was in office both parties obstructed building the fence.
Both parties cheated him out to get the border open again.
Micro Rubio and Flimsey Grahamnesty can’t wait to give them all amnesty.
The left wants their favored demographic to steal from their most hated demographic - sort of an advance “reparations.” Don’t expect the left to do anything about it.
no mention of how the thieves stole it . did the truck not have an anti theft device? my f-150 will honk if someone tries to open the doors even with the key. You can’t get it started without a chip key... Just asking, were the keys in the truck?
Don’t blame the cops. They don’t want to risk getting their rainbow patches smudged.
Begins to explain why I’ve been seeing so many Texas license plates in my state lately
We have no border between us and Mexico. We are Mexico.
There are large expanses of out-of-commission overpasses that are partly dismembered, from an older highway. You have to drive under them and you wonder if falling concrete will hit you.
Some streets are similarly broken up and unavailable for travel.
I am not sure how businesses were making it when you have to hire armed guards.
The bottom line question is:
If Texas can’t handle criminals, what will happen to the rest of the nation mostly governed by wimps?
I was working for a company located in the ghetto of detroit.. when the sun glistened off the razor wire in the parking lot it was just beautiful...
anyway, we were going to install a safety device at the front end of a final line flattop conveyor for an auto company. This thing took up an entire semi trailer. It was thursday on easter weekend. Semi was loaded, warming up in the parking lot, driver came in to get a cup of coffee for the road, came out and the truck was gone.
Never did find it....
About 15 years ago someone stole two fully loaded gasoline tankers out of the distribution yard in Northern Nevada. Cameras and all - they ever found a trace of them or the thieves.
