What to Know About Guillain Barré Syndrome and Its Link to the Johnson & Johnson Vaccine: FDA notes there isn’t enough data to prove that the vaccine actually causes Guillain-Barré syndrome

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced on July 12 that it is updating the label on the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine to include a warning about the risk of developing Guillain-Barré syndrome, (GBS) a rare and sometimes deadly autoimmune disorder in which the body attacks and damages nerves, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Anywhere between 3,000 and 6,000 people develop Guillain-Barré syndrome each year, per the CDC. For some people, a full recovery just takes a few weeks; for others, it can take a few years.

“Reports of adverse events following use of the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine under emergency use authorization suggest an increased risk of Guillain-Barré syndrome during the 42 days following vaccination,” the FDA says in an updated fact sheet for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine (also known as the Janssen vaccine).

However, the FDA notes there isn’t enough data to prove that the vaccine actually causes Guillain-Barré syndrome. While the Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines have not been linked with Guillain-Barré syndrome, other common vaccines have. Here’s everything experts want you to know about the condition.

Back up: What are the symptoms of Guillain-Barré syndrome? People who have GBS often feel weakness or tingling sensations in both legs first, according to the CDC, and this sensation can spread to the arms and upper body. Weakness usually peaks within the first two weeks after symptoms first start, the CDC says. However, symptoms of GBS can progress until some muscles can’t be used at all. In severe cases, a person can experience permanent nerve damage, become paralyzed, or even die of the condition.

The cause of Guillain-Barré syndrome isn’t fully understood, but it often develops after someone has been infected with a virus or bacteria.

FROM THE ARTICLE:

Guillain-Barré syndrome is rare, but it has been a side effect tied to other vaccines.

Guillain-Barré syndrome can happen after different types of vaccinations, but the flu vaccine has notably been tied to the condition in rare situations, says infectious disease expert Amesh A. Adalja, M.D., senior scholar at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security.

Even back in 1976, there was a small increased risk of Guillain-Barré syndrome after people were vaccinated against the swine flu. The National Academy of Medicine investigated and found that the increased risk was about one additional case of Guillain-Barré syndrome for every 100,000 people who got the swine flu vaccine.

Because of this, the CDC monitors for Guillain-Barré syndrome during each flu season, noting that the data on the link between the seasonal flu vaccine and Guillain-Barré syndrome has “consistently” been between one and two additional cases of Guillain-Barré syndrome per every 1 million flu vaccine doses given.

It’s only rare if it affects someone else and not yourself.

However, the FDA notes there isn’t enough data to prove that the vaccine actually is safe either.

Weasels.

So Chinese vaccines are just like CHinese food?

It won’t be enough and you’ll have to have more later?

What I know is Johnson and Johnson is the one vax the dirtbag deepstaters don’t seem to like. Maybe J&J didn’t payoff Hunter Biden.

Couple years ago, a friend got a “flu shot”.

A week or so after that, they found him catatonic in his living room, virtually “gone” physically and mentally.

I told our WV GP about it and he instantly said “Guillain Barré Syndrome. Don’t worry, he’ll be “back” in 6-8 weeks”.

Meanwhile, the idiots at the hospital diagnosed him with all kinds of crazy ass rare “diseases”, some of which were like a 1 in a million chance.
They kept him alive, finally just stuck him in a nursing home and pretty much wrote him off as a goner.

*Seven weeks* later, he “woke up” and began his recovery to normalcy.
He’s right as rain, now.

An entire hospital full of hot shot docs couldn’t figure it out but my hillbilly/biker doc knew instantly.

Guillain Barré Syndrome is not something you want, if you’re averse to becoming a zombie for a couple months.

My sister had GB about 30 years ago. Last year a friend in California seemed to have the same symptoms. I told his wife it seems like GB.

The doctors kept looking at it for two weeks, thinking Parkinson’s, yada yad. It was GB.

People who have had GB are told not to take traditional vaccines like flu shots and J&J vax because likely would cause a recurrence of the GB. They also cannot donate blood.

Hasnt that syndrome been attributed to all types of vaccines for decades? I seem to remember the 70’s vaccines really got hammered because of the incidence of the syndrome with that periods flu shots.

It was infuriating.

I’ve known this man as long as hubby, as he was his friend long before I met him.

I had no say, not being family so I just had to keep praying for him to snap out of it in time, and feared they’d pull a “hospice” on him and let starve/dehydrate to death.

I wish I could recall the utterly insane “neurological/brain disease” they still claimed he had, after he came out of it.

When I looked it up, it was on the order of 2 cases occurring in the whole world, every year, and those in third world hellholes.

Yeah.
Right.

Yes.
Apparently so much so that my GP instantly named it as the friend’s issue, without doubt or hesitation..

What you wrote brings up more issues.

If the docs did *not* even recognize it as GB, how can they advise him to avoid the very things that caused it, let alone anything else?

Far as I know, he doesn’t donate blood so that’s probably not a thing, for him.

It’s not for nothing that our local “brand new advanced hospital” has the worst rating in the state.

People want a perfect risk free world especially in medicine. There is no such critter. The C-19 vaccine thankfully did not take as long as a worse pandemic vaccine did to develop and science had not advanced like it has today.

Polio anyone? Anyone old enough to remember it. I took two vaccines and I was born in 57. One was the sugar cube the other she shot. I'M ALIVE. My late wife 7 years my senior didn't get the vaccine in time but had a milder case of it. Yes some Polio went undetected but still did damage for some stunting limb growth as was her case but it was discovered until 1986 when she had become a C-5 C-6 level incomplete quadriplegic. The discovered it doing measurements for a customized motorized wheelchair. She walked and had a normal life for 35 years till it came back and attacked the Myelin.

She had the vaccines also. Perhaps why it wasn't a severe enough case as a child to do the damage it did to many. If you say "Iron Lung" to anyone under 60 you'll likely get a blank stare or "say what". Many ended up in them.

She was in the wheelchair from age 35-64 when The Lord called her home. Guillain Barre was suspected at first but ruled out. A number of persons who took the Polio vaccine still got Polio some because of live virus. No one knew then the long term affects those vaccines had. But the media and nut-job tabloid writers weren't trying to sell papers scaring the living crap out of persons.

Any immune system vaccines has some risk. I take shots down to three a month now I've taken for about 12 years to control very severe sinus allergies. Those too have risk. You wait in the lobby 20 minutes afterwards and my Allergy Doc requires patients to have an Epi-Pen on them in case a reaction hits going home. Now I do suppose a low percentage of patients have reactions and some possibly fatal. You don't hear that one on the idiot tube.

Hey healthcare workers even Immunity system Docs are taking the C-19 shot. If they didn't well the ER may well be empty due to no staff.

The scare mongering tosed common sense out the window. Some of the Konspiracies remind me of the old days of FR when we had a poster who specialized in them including the US Navy Sinking the Russian Sub Kursk. The only poster to ever have all his pages nuked LOL. Whatdiditwasithappenedforsurewhodoneit.nutz.

60 Minutes Mike Wallace Exposes Failed 1976 Swine Flu Vaccine Roll Out

> Re-Published on Rumble July 17, 2021

[Today, the White House would order Big Tech and the MSM not to cover the permanent terrible side effects from the jab. It would just be a full-on Soviet-like propaganda campaign telling everybody to take the vax and ignore the negative consequences.]

(Some of the folks who got the Swine Flu Jab also developed Guillain-Barre.)

Please see 18 about the Swine Flu Vax.

It was stopped because of the adverse side effects, including Guillain-Barre.

Today, that “60 Minutes” episode would be banned as “misinformation.”

Guillain-Barre syndrome may also occur after infection with the COVID-19.

Guillain-Barre syndrome may be triggered by:

Most commonly, infection with campylobacter, a type of bacteria often found in undercooked poultry

Influenza virus

Cytomegalovirus

Epstein-Barr virus

Zika virus

Hepatitis A, B, C and E

Mycoplasma pneumonia

Surgery

Trauma

Hodgkin's lymphoma

Rarely, influenza vaccinations or childhood vaccinations
