The National Football League (NFL) recently joined virtually every other American institution in lauding — and marketing to — the LGBT community during Pride Month in June. It did so by releasing a new 30-second commercial proudly proclaiming that "football is gay, lesbian, queer, transgender, bisexual and exciting."
The ad begins by stating "football is gay" to the sound of drums rolling and people cheering. (I'm not sure what Dick Butkus would have to say about this advertisement, but I digress.)

The oh, so woke commercial states: "Football is lesbian. Football is beautiful. Football is queer. Football is life. Football is exciting. Football is culture. Football is transgender. Football is queer. Football is heart. Football is power. Football is tough. Football is bisexual. Football is strong. Football is freedom. Football is American. Football is accepting. This ad is disturbingly mindful of parents raising their babies' arms over their heads and cloyingly saying, "Who's big? Billy is! Sooo big!"

It’s like colleges standing up and being private institutions. They can’t be told what to say, do, or teach. Once you take federal favors or carve-outs, your enterprise is no longer in your hands but instead the government’s hands.
Go for broke, NFL. The 5% of people that are gay or lesbian and their families won’t make that big of a swing in the composition of the fan base. The 35% of fans who won’t leave under any circumstances will not be affected. The 30 percent who don’t care probably are not die-hard fans. The 30 % that are religious or socially conservative have mostly not watching any more. So basically they are trying to increase their fan base on the 5%.
I don’t care what they do. I have never been a sports fan in my life. I have watched football games from time to time but not one time since 2017. We are going on 4 years since Colon Kapernick kneeled in protest of Donald Trump and everyone who voted for him. Screw the NFL.

I have been saying NFL football is gay for 30 years already. It was the rabid male fans that knew too much about one particular player. that made me go “hmmm” and so wonder.
