” I blame it on Coca Cola. All of their products ... cause obesity and diabetes. “

How could Diet Coke™ cause diabetes?

I was lamenting to my gf: How could I have lost so much height (about 2 inches)? She told me that for every child she had she lost almost one inch.

On a serious note, you may want to check this article out since you’ve lost 2” (more than the average loss over 24 years in the Framingham Study for men being an average of 1.06”).

Adding some type of fasting with keto is another key to improving health. Daily intermittent, alternate day, 24/46/48, etc.

Yeah, I’m aware of that. What I can’t remember for sure is if my height in high school was measured with shoes on. If so, then the true loss is more like 1”. My mother made it to 102 and only evidenced mild osteopenia (I take after her).

A better determinant is that your waist measurement should be half or less than your height

Exactly what I told my Doc when he said I should lose some weight. I told him I needed a drug that made me taller.

Two things, he laughed, and I listened and lost 60 lbs.

Type 1 survivor here. Please don’t lump me in with a lifestyle disease. Type 2, generally, is an overweight affliction. Same can be said, although the media don’t dare, can be said of china virus fatalities.

If you took oral magnesium supplements as reccomended on Keto, that’s most likely what caused the extended bathroom experience. I can relate. I went off keto for a time so I could consume a variety of yellow veggies which I craved, but I continued the magnesium supplements. Guess what? Problem still existed. When I stopped the magnesium, my powels protested with severe pain...they had become dependant upon the magnesium...which is often used as a bowel stimulant. Had to gradually reduce it. Magnesium can be absorbed through the skin (epsom salts) without the associated bowel issues. Epsomsalts make a good foot soak or soothing bath.
Hope that helps in case you decide to go back on keto before you regain your weight.

I fast between 6:00 pm and 10:00 am three or four days a week. Fasting & Keto I’ve lost 40 pounds in less than a year.

Type 2 is a lifestyle disease? It’s hereditary regardless of the dietary impact.

No, I have never been on keto and no plans to and glucophage is notorious for causing lower GI disorder.

The doctor quoted in this article, Robert Gabbay, is a lead scientist with the American Diabetes Association.

It shows you how utterly science has been corrupted when the ADA's own guy WILL NOT SAY that type 2 is primarily an obesity disease, which he HAS TO KNOW, and does not encourage people to lose weight and get healthy. Doesn't even mention it.

Nope. All he says is get vaccinated.

I wonder how much Moderna/Pfizer stock he has in his portfolio.

Most artificial sweeteners cause insulin spikes just like sugar and high fructose corn syrup do. Chronically high insulin levels contributes to the development of T2 diabetes.

Unhealthy eating habits are behavioral issues. The propensity to T2 is hereditary.
