“Football” is pandering. Football is pathetic. Football will say or do anything to chase down the very last potential viewer/customer.
The National Football League (NFL) recently joined virtually every other American institution in lauding -- and marketing to — the LGBTQ Community during Pride Month in June. It did so by releasing a new 30-second commercial proudly proclaiming that “football is gay, lesbian, queer, transgender, bisexual and exciting.”
The ad begins by stating “football is gay” to the sound of drums rolling and people cheering. (I’m not sure what Dick Butkus would have to say about this advertisement, but I digress.)

The ad is in part a direct response to Las Vegas Raiders’ defensive end Carl Nassib’s recent announcement that he was gay, a league spokesperson said. It is titled, “Football is for everyone,” and is intended to “send a strong message of acceptance from the league to fans and players,” reports Outsports. What will the league look like a few years from now?

I hope the players got a degree in college that pays a livable wage. The NFL teams won’t pay huge salaries if only the LBGTQ-P watch.

The owners don’t own teams to make money. Team ownership is a vanity project for the already wealthy. When they do something that appears to harm their own financial interests, it is because they are stroking their own egos above all else.
I saw this ad and thought...NFL is about to realize a sizeable revenue/profit adjustment. lol

As a SWWM (straight, white, working, male) I DESPISE the NFL not for it’s support of blacks and LGBTQ BUT FOR supporting anti America, anti FLAG, anti VET and anti Patriot groups, organizations and policies.
As Ronald Reagan famously said, “I didn’t leave the Democratic Party, the party left me”. The NFL left me on the curb about 25 years ago.

The last time I watched it was 10 minutes of erectile dysfunction, 10 minutes of beer, 10 minutes of USAA ads (sigh), 5 minutes of play, and 5 minutes of watching a zebra look at instant replay.
