STORY AT-A-GLANCE Researchers analyzed the CO2 content of inhaled air among children wearing two types of masks, as well as wearing no mask
CO2 in inhaled air under surgical and filtering facepiece masks came in between 13,120 ppm and 13,910 ppm; the German Federal
Environmental Office set a limit of CO2 for closed rooms of 2,000 ppm Younger children appeared to have the highest CO2 values; a level of 25,000 ppm was measured from a 7-year-old wearing a facemask
The researchers believe the use of facemasks could lead to “impairments attributable to hypercapnia,” which is a buildup of CO2 in the blood
Children wearing facemasks at school have reported symptoms such as shortness of breath, dizziness, headaches, irritability, fatigue and difficulty concentrating
Children in the study ranged in age from 6 to 17 years, with a mean age of 10.7. While no significant difference in CO2 was found between the two types of masks, there was a significant elevation when wearing masks compared to not wearing them.
Here is the real answer to the question of whether it’s worth it to mask kids: No one has any clue. During the last year and half, the scientific community has failed to answer these questions. Failed entirely.

Don’t worry. CO2 isn’t bad anymore.
Ya gotta break a few eggs. 😱🐂💨💩
The government doesn’t care about your stick figure family.
the EO "limit" is 2000ppm and they are testing kids at 13-25K-ppm???
guess gloBULL warming has a way to go...
“CO2 in inhaled air under surgical and filtering facepiece masks came in between 13,120 ppm and 13,910 ppm; the German Federal”
What is the dilution factor? Depending on the size of breath it will easily dilute to less than 2000 ppm.
“they are testing kids at 13-25K-ppm???”
We exhale about 40,000 ppm. Some remains under mask at 13k. When we inhale this is diluted with fresh air resulting in a much lower concentration.
I’ve said this before about masks. When I was at work (I’m an RN) and had to wear a mask I used an oximeter and measured my oxygen saturation. It normally is 98 but is constantly with a mask on 86 and lower when walking. Medicare puts one on oxygen when its below 88. It’s because below 88 you are not getting enough oxygen to your vital organs…brain, heart, lungs, kidneys…
If a frigid woman wears a face mask, when she closes her legs does her light stay on?
Btw, all of the nurses with me that day saw me doing this, measured theirs with the same results. Naturally we took off the mask and did the measurement with percentages of 100, 98 but with mask on 87, 86. That is because you are not breathing the air directly.
Isn’t that enough to cause global warming?
Can’t get rid of the bad stuff in lungs? Guess what happens?
yes
thank you...

Is the respiratory process really that important?
I mean, no one even knew what oxygen was prior to 1774.
“Is the respiratory process really that important?”
Try this, stop breathing for 15 to 20 minutes, then get back to me with the results.
“I mean, no one even knew what oxygen was prior to 1774.”
In the 16th century Robert Boyle proved that there was a component of air consumed by combustion and respiration.
In the 1770’s they were able to produce a gas that supported combustion.
Not until the 1800’s did they determine what oxygen was.
OK, but I need more information. Should I stamp my feet or just sit here calmly?
