Recovery from original Covid-19 offers the same amount of protection from 'Delta' as being fully vaccinated.

Abstract

The SARS-CoV-2 B.1.617 lineage was identified in October 2020 in India1–5. It has since then become dominant in some indian regions and UK and further spread to many countries6. The lineage includes three main subtypes (B1.617.1, B.1.617.2 and B.1.617.3), harbouring diverse Spike mutations in the N-terminal domain (NTD) and the receptor binding domain (RBD) which may increase their immune evasion potential. B.1.617.2, also termed variant Delta, is believed to spread faster than other variants. Here, we isolated an infectious Delta strain from a traveller returning from India. We examined its sensitivity to monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) and to antibodies present in sera from COVID-19 convalescent individuals or vaccine recipients, in comparison to other viral strains. Variant Delta was resistant to neutralization by some anti-NTD and anti-RBD mAbs including Bamlanivimab, which were impaired in binding to the Spike. Sera from convalescent patients collected up to 12 months post symptoms were 4 fold less potent against variant Delta, relative to variant Alpha (B.1.1.7). Sera from individuals having received one dose of Pfizer or AstraZeneca vaccines barely inhibited variant Delta. Administration of two doses generated a neutralizing response in 95% of individuals, with titers 3 to 5 fold lower against Delta than Alpha. Thus, variant Delta spread is associated with an escape to antibodies targeting non-RBD and RBD Spike epitopes.

How many of those unvaccinated who recovered from Covid had to be hospitalized? I read that many who get Covid never are hospitalized. Most individuals with diagnosed COVID-19 do not require hospitalization, though patients with an underlying health condition—such as diabetes, and chronic lung and cardiovascular diseases—do have substantially higher rates of hospitalization and ICU admission. The new data show 40 percent of diagnosed COVID-19 patients with at least one underlying health condition were hospitalized (including 13 percent in ICU)—versus 9 percent of diagnosed COVID-19 patients without an underlying health condition (2 percent in ICU). Those of older ages are more inclined to have underlying health conditions. A hospitalization, which may include ICU, will be quite expensive.

Getting infected with Covid may have long lasting effects, that will require medical treatment.

Think of Jab #3 as an update to anti virus software.

How long will virus updates continue ? Potentially indefinitely, because paranoid people refuse to install anti virus software saying the anti virus software is the real problem, allowing the virus to mutate.

You are asking the wrong question.

No, I asked the right question...you just don't like the answer.

“Recovery from original Covid-19 offers the same amount of protection from ‘Delta’ as being fully vaccinated.”

LIES! and DAMN lies.

Vaccines/Jabs have SERIOUS side effects including DEATH, long term (permanent) health issues, and passing on DNA changes to all their descendants.

Recovery from COVID itself has none of those side effects except some lingering health effects in a FEW people.

Also, people who have had the jabs ARE STILL GETTING COVID!

People who recovered from COVID are NOT!

The Jab people are talking about annual “BOOSTER” jabs.

The recovered people don’t need them. They may be life long immune. Too soon to tell, too soon to say they are not.

REMEMBER! “Testing positive” for COVID doesn’t mean you HAD COVID! It is VERY LIKELY that you DIDN’T.

Testing is a JOKE! FALSE POSITIVES GALORE. (Now there’s a word you don’t hear everyday). Makes me think of that James Bond movie.

JUST SAY NO TO THE JAB! (faux vaccine)

Because nobody would understand what that means.

The entire point of the post was to show that anyone who has recovered from Covid should not worry about getting vaccinated.
