Don’t quite know why I do this. It’s almost like a legitimate fear instrument raised high enough is not going to make anyone afraid.
Simply this: There is no rule of the universe that says a virus variant can’t render the human race extinct.
Smallpox was wiping out civilizations in the New World circa 1550, and if it had been today, without a vaccine, the mechanism could have been stopped. Smallpox pustules were blocking sperm ducts in males. That’s all it took. Extinction of those particular folks.
Smallpox as a virus was very very stable. Reproduction in cells was precise and exact duplication of the variola genetic signature. Exact and precise = no mutations. That’s why vaccination erased smallpox. Mankind dodged quite a bullet on that. A smallpox virus with the ability to mutate would have defeated the vaccine and we’d be looking at the usual 40% death rate.
Corona isn’t stable. Mutations happen, and the human race may not survive. Vaccination or not. It’s everywhere. Vaccinating the US means nothing when about 10X the US population is unvaccinated and percolating along generating mutations.
Too many Americans have been beat down by leftists and submitted to their ideology and being nice to them does not help them. You and other Americans have submitted out of fear because the cancel culture beat you down. Now, in order to feel better about yourselves, defeated patriotd seek justification for their weakness by bringing down others to their level.

I never said that we should submit out of fear. Like it or not, we can't just ignore what's happening in the world. Hopefully this is the third and the last wave in the U.S. But time will tell, we have variants going throughout the world.

So posting data is fear mongering? It’s ok for those on your side to mindlessly post the same graphs and data that is questionable but it’s not ok for the other side of the argument to post legitimate data that is sourced? And the data that is presented is simply the numbers that exist?

Hospitals in America are again filing up. But your answer is to ignore that data! That’s right. It’s all communist crap!

The fact is simple: The vast majority of people in the hospital now critically ill are in fact those who were not vaccinated. Deal with that. Argue about that. People made a choice that was theirs alone to make. The surge is not as bad as it would have been in an unvaccinated population but not as blunted as it could have been on a fully vaccinated populace. That being said the fact that this surge is due to a rapidly progressing variant means that in all likelihood by the time this surge ends around the first of September the immunity from those who got this wave + those previously infected who have wild type immunity + those immune from vaccination will mean herd immunity has been reached.
The natural course of pandemics is 18 - 24 months. September will be roughly 21 months. The outcomes will have been significantly improved by president trumps OWS with less deaths and critical illness this wave than kn the previous and unvaccinated wave
It is not propaganda to understand data. It is not some nefarious plot to openly look at and interpret data. It is a position of fear to attack the people who bring data and the antithesis of intelligence to instead of debating it. Attempt to censor it. It seems as is there is only one leftist shill here. You would have to be under a rock to not know this virus is real. I appreciate the postings of case data. Sure I can see it other places but I appreciate a consistent source.
No one is telling anyone here to go get the vaccine. I do recommend it but would not make in mandatory.
As I’ve said I personally care for these patients. I don’t walk around in fear about it. However, I’m ready for it to be gone. And it will be. All pandemics end.
