Here's the problem with communism (and sometimes socialism). If you study these subjects, you will encounter lots of abstract theories about how best to organize society, money, property, and so on. Some ideas might sound appealing. But they have little to do with communism as this ideology has existed in the real world.
Better to think of these theories as maps and guidebooks for people who want to rule others. Communism appeals to dead souls hungry for power. These are not normal, healthy people. When they finally seize power, everyone else becomes a victim, even as never-ending propaganda promises the perfect society.
The last people you want in control of your life are control freaks eager to be your masters. They think it's natural they should dictate your activities. The word slave does not appear in the contract, but that is your job in their world.
Everyone should reflect on the bloody history of socialism and communism....,

It certainly isn’t the optimistic worldview of Americanism.

“One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power.”
― George Orwell, 1984
Speaking very abstractly, I think human psychology could be a good and beneficial field. There are a lot of things people could be taught about human nature. There are realities out there. Such as: family matters more than career (especially for women). Also: People who greatly desire political power over others are the last people who should be allowed to have political power over others.
Unfortunately, human psychology is an almost barren field. It seems obsessed with normalizing homosexuality and transgenderism. It seems to think Men are the devil and Women can do no wrong. Psychology, as practiced today, strikes me as a negative force. But it could tell us some truths, if we re-invented the field.
Exactly. Jordan Peterson explains it well.

Socialism involves a centrally planned society. People will not follow the plan unless forced. Therefore, you need to become authoritarian.
Socialism is always authoritarian.
If every practicing psychologist had the mindset of Jordan Peterson, I believe most people needing help could improve significantly.
Hmmm...
Biden & Harris must be exceptions...
Two intellectual saints who want to be dictators?

Definitely had him in mind. A real force for good in a field which is largely lacking it.
Biden certainly seems to think this way - he can’t seem to understand why everyone didn’t vote for him; Lord knows he tried to make that happen by doctoring ballots and procedures. Picking Kamala, the lady with a mattress tied to her back, was a master stroke. Who would try to off him when it would put her in the #1 slot!

Wait! Are you saying that Stalin was not a normal healthy person? Everyone called him 'Pappa Joe'!
Not in my generation.
Right. In fact, whenever I hear that song by Tears for Fears (Everybody wants to rule etc”), I shake my head and say, “I dont! And until I do, not everybody does; so back off, turkey lips!”
Dictators also revel in anger and hate.
After the Spanish flu ended World War I, a second plague hit Europe. It was called “brain fever”, which was a blanket term for viruses that invaded the nervous system. In truth we still don’t know what it was, and today there are few references to it. It also happened to hit the same demographic that had been brutalized by Influenza.
Many died from it, but those that survived were known for their rages and hatred which were easy to direct. And many were attracted to the Nazi party, after the ascension of Hitler who himself might have had the brain fever.
But even ordinary people have been so traumatized by violence that want to lash out, and can even lose focus on who they want to lash out *at*. They desire to hurt someone, anyone, with the idea that this might relieve even a little of their pain.
Yes, we were lucky to have GW there to start things right. A great man.
