More likely they’re hoping to get better insights into the tenacity of the citizenry.
No doubt the C-19 mask mandates demonstrated greater submission than expected.

Sign a warrant for what? To force you to let someone in to lecture you? Hah! What court is going to issue million of warrants? No such thing as a blanket warrant.
Here’s a possible solution. When they’re on your doorstep, remotely turn on a lawn sprinkler set to saturate that area.

I see this as more of an information collecting venture to get the pulse of America and see what kind of response/resistance there will be and who needs to go for re-education first.
I do really like the lawn sprinkler idea.

Sign on the door says “if you are not invited, don’t knock. if you do knock know you will have 30 seconds to leave the property. The dog can make the property line in 10 seconds. can you?”
First they use the excuse of “keeping us safe” in an “emergency.” Then it will be “we’d just like to check for guns, to keep the children safe.” Then “we saw the Trump sign on your lawn, we’d like to come in and look around, to keep the children safe.”
They hate the part about the Fourth Amendment, and are working hard to nullify it, as they have already nullified the first, and are chipping away at the second.
Yeah, the scary part is the “We’ll be back”.

I’m a retired U.S. Marshal, also and I agree with him. If you want to avoid immediate trouble don’t answer the door but trouble will come to you eventually The only question is do you want deal with a conflict at that moment or will you want it later. It will happen either way.
Re: 22 - Doing it your way essentially ensures that you will be arrested, or worse.
But, everyone does what they think is best for their own situation.
