FDA and CDC both saying booster shots are not recommended at this time, but Pfizer is pushing them for those who got their first two shots six months ago. It seems it will help with both fading immunity and also the delta variant.

Pfizer is the giant here, it seems. Was the first or one of the mRNA out there, even though it was not officially part of Warp Speed. A fiercely competitive company and that’s a good thing, so we should pay attention.

Other people took the risk for the recalcitrant and created a more virus-free environment.

That’s an example of the logical fallacy “too few alternatives”.

There are other possibilities.

Because the man understands economics and business principles.

Nations all over the globe competed, with their own vaccines, in order to make some of the money. Even Pfizer was not technically part of Warp Speed but competed in order to be excellent and to get out there early on. NY Times made a point of saying Pfizer was not part of Warp Speed in order to try to discredit Trump a little bit.

Every comma, period, “and,” and “the” in the Times is an attack on Trump but good luck.

There is no “competition.” Pfizer clearly has more friends in high places just as Trump said after the Johnson and Johnson pause. And there is no genuine battle — whether for new and improved vaccines or for innovative treatments. Or an all hands on deck interest to find a “cure” even for sick, fully vaccinated people who just happen to be really unlucky (?)

Just a lot of elites who stand to gain a lot for their deals with a company that is slimy as hell to begin with.

I think in San Francisco more people died of overdoses in 2020 than Covid. There you have it Mr. pharma-troll.

“Other people took the risk...”

Not much of a risk since, in round numbers, they had a 1 in 100,000 chance of a serious bad result from the vaccine. Compared to over a 1 in 1,000 risk of bad result if they got the virus if they weren’t prev infected.

Pretty good odds.

Pfizer benefited from Federal funding in the form of advanced purchases of their vaccine candidate. They can say they weren’t part of Operation Warp Speed (and that may be technically true from a letter-of-the-agreement standpoint), but they got the same check drawn on the same bank account as everyone who DID get funding as part of Operation Warp Speed.

Pfizer didn’t want to have Fedgov standing over their shoulder the whole time looking at their development process and holding things up. What they didn’t account for was that this was President Trump’s operation and there was no bureaucrat sitting there asleep at his desk with paperwork waiting on him. Operation Warp Speed was wildly successful; moreso than anyone could have anticipated.

Yes. True. But there was some risk, especially early on, before we had anything to go by outside of the pre-release testing.

"Compared to over a 1 in 1,000 risk of bad result if they got the virus if they weren’t prev infected."

About 1 in 20 hospitalized, 1 in 100 dead with COVID-19 infection. That's generalized across the population. Much less scary outcomes for younger, healthier people. Much more scary outcomes for older, less healthy people. But even that isn't universal. Like any disease, some people just seem to get it far worse for no apparent reason and some people sail through when everything says they shouldn't.

Sure there are! Maybe they thought the vaccine was dangerous and were suicidal, but then it wasn’t.

Maybe there’s someone sneaking around mugging people and forcing them to get the vaccine, and the people being mugged are too embarrassed to report it.

Disappearing ink in the right places?

Chinese agents in the statistics offices trying to make us more complacent?

Any number of possible reasons for the “first acceptors” not to be heroes at all.

“About 1 in 20 hospitalized, 1 in 100 dead with COVID-19 infection.”
That does sound reasonable.

My impression is probably influenced by the numbers since vaxxes were widely deployed.

“The early adopters were the brave.”
Reasonable.
They were also the most at risk.

I personally know of 2 kids it messed up, like $15K in Hospital scans later we can’t explain why your Athletic 19 year old SMU honor student can’t form words anymore, but thank god she got her vaccine two days ago.

Don’t plan on the media contacting you about this.

Today hit a milestone: More people I personally know have been Hospitalized for bad reactions to the vaccine than people I personally know that were hospitalized for Covid.

The vaccine requirement for healthy kids is borderline criminal.

Dumbest “pandemic” ever.

My mother and father took the first Moderna vaccine shot about six weeks ago. Within a week my mother went from a very active person in her mid 80s to an invalid unable to make it from the bed to the bathroom. She has progressively gotten worse to the point that she now looks like a little death camp survivor. We and her doctors expect her to die soon. It wasn’t an allergic reaction. So your explanation fails miserably, but I am sure you can come up with something better to push these experimental vaccines on those of us who are skeptical.

I spent years working as a Hazmat Officer in charge of a Hazmat team. It was my responsibility to make risk assessments for bio and chemical hazards. I probably have had ten times as many vaccinations as most people. It is amazing to me how many of my former subordinates have refused to take these vaccines at the risk of losing their positions. The risk involved in taking an experimental vaccine should be left up to the individual and their doctor not the all knowing government, big tech and the corporate media.

I worked as a Hazmat Officer for ten years in charge of a big city Hazmat Team. I have had ten times as many vaccines as most people in my life and never had any complications and very few times when even my arm got sore. A week after my mother got the first Moderna shot she went from very active and going to the YMCA every day to an invalid who can’t make it from her bed to the bathroom without assistance. She has lost so much weight that she looks like a little death camp survivor and she cries and says that she is in so much pain that she just wants to die. These shots are not safe for everyone, and in many cases are most likely much worse for some individuals than getting Covid itself.

I just had a friend die 24 hours after getting the vaccine. A 52 year old male with no health issues. His death certificate says he died of cardiac arrest, which is the typical “Heart Stopped” report when no other condition can be found. There will be no VAERS report. He is not the first to die suddenly after the jab without a VAERS report.

Too late for me. Got my 2nd shot monday and let me tell you, it definitely effed me up. My legs feel weak as hell and I’m out of breath going up just a flight of stairs. Oh yeah and another thing: My right eye has a “flash blindness” that won’t go away. You know when someone shines something bright in your eye like a flash bulb and it makes your eyes see white? That’s what I’m getting on the bottom of my right eye. I have no idea if this is all from the vaccine but I didn’t have these crazy issues before.

2 family members got the shingles after the Pfizer shot within a week. Looked it up and there are articles that state it’s a possible side effect. Another family friend reacted horribly to the second moderne shot. I’ve seen countless posts of side effects that last a couple of days, but the above are the worst outside of non family and friends that I’ve heard.

It is irresponsible to vaccinate children who do not die from the disease and very rarely spread it.

I took the shot because I live with an at risk person. It was a mistake. I have had autoimmune issues since. Mostly dermatitis and arthritis that started almost immediately and are both still bothering me 2 months later.

I feel like the shot took years off my life.

I was thinking of those not at particular risk, who simply cared about the people who would be around them.

What’s historic is purported conservatives fear-mongering and ridiculing the vaccines in the same manner as CNN, MSNBC, and leftists of all stripes would have done had Trump not been cheated out of reelection. Kamala would have been on every TV show hawking every poor soul that had a bad reaction on the globe.

Something on the order of “Trump’s rushed experimental gene therapy is going to kill us all. Women and minorities hardest hit. Impeach the war criminal!

Illuminating, and sickening at the same time.

That’s pre-vaccination with the April 2020 variant, which was dominant across the globe through most of 2020.

Well...it was simple. I used the calculator on the Johns Hopkins website. It puts my risk of dying from Covid at 0.4 per million or 1 in 2.5 million. I compared that with the known VAERS death figures (more than 9000) over the number in the US who have received at least one dose (184 million). Odds of dying from the jab are 1 in 20444, based on the VAERS numbers, which are almost certainly LOW. Yeah I think I’ll take 1 in 2.5 million odds instead of 1 in 20000.

I don’t understand how people look at the VAERS reports and don’t see that it doesn’t state any connection other than that the event happened after the vaccination.
It even bluntly states that.

Just like reports of adverse events after an eclipse, a shooting star, or a black cat crossing one’s path.
The reports have to be looked through for real connections.

Docs seem to be doing a good job of that as anything affecting more than 1 in 100,000 have been publicized and studied.
