Good to know that some Swedish men still have some testosterone.
A 4wd pickup would have been my choice.
To much $$$ and time on their hands.
Hahahaha Swedish Motorheads!
It looks surprisingly normal once they get the body work back on the frame.
Fun cars though.
wait till Cleetus sees this...One would have chosen something with SOME kind of pragmatic value, like say an F-450 dually 4wd, but hey, that's just one's own self.
They better bling that Crown Vic up real good...
“The turbochargers are not hooked up to the mighty tank engine, meaning it’s nowhere near its target power output of 2500hp. Given the idle issues, too, the team likely hasn’t sorted the engine programming. “
Well to begin with they are trying to run an engine designed to be turbocharged as a naturally aspirated engine. It is never going to run right no matter what they do until they put turbo pressure to that engine.
The compression ratio is not right for natural aspiration. The compression has purposely been reduced to accommodate the extra pressure of being turbocharged. The ratio is most likely down around only 6:1 which is almost too low to even run as naturally aspirated with no extra pressure.
Add a heavy high output, high lift and duration cam grind to that, and it is going to instantly want to try and load up because of insufficient fuel burn. Basically like trying to run it with the choke on all the time. Far far too rich of a burn with the cylinder combustion.
Where will they mount the cannon?
The car’s structural rigidity is gonna suck with the metal they’ve cut away. Forget turning.

He’ll never pass smog.
All this prattle about horsepower when it’s really the torque that counts. The stock Meteor makes 1550 lb-ft of Q @1600 rpm. Jay Leno has a 1934 Rolls-Royce P2 he’s dropped a 27-liter Rolls-Royce Merlin engine into (the Meteor was developed from the Merlin) that turns a max Q of 1750 lb-ft. The car will run 80 mph in top gear ... at idle.
I remember seeing a video that teased “a 55 Chevy with a Mustang engine.”
One soon found out that it wasn’t an engine out of a Ford Mustang, but a P-51 Mustang Rolls Royce Merlin.
