The question of whether America is still a great power will strike many as foolish. Undeniably, there is no doubt the United States of America is still the preeminent power in the world. America has the world’s largest economy in terms of gross domestic product, our companies lead the world in investment and innovation, and our country has high living standards. The United States has the most powerful and technologically advanced armed forces in the world and spends considerably more than most countries on defense. Adopting this classic framework to measure a country’s power would surely lead to a positive answer to the question.
However, these traditional standards of analysis of power do not fully reflect what is needed for the preservation of a great power. Other criteria must be added to the analysis of America’s status of a great power. The criteria are the moral qualities of patriotism and conviction of destiny, which, due to a self-loathing campaign by the left, the latest episode being the actions of Olympic hammer thrower Gwen Berry, reveals the moral qualities to be lacking in America and leads to the questioning of America’s status in the world as a great power.
Patriotism is a sentiment of love, respect, and reverence for one’s own country. This feeling of love is not constant but is one that arises in specific circumstances in the state's history. These events can be the celebration of America’s independence on the Fourth of July, participation of American teams in international sporting events or events such as the Second World War. Hence, patriotism is a transient love for one’s country, its shared history, tradition, and language.

Compare the IQ of a virus to that of its host.
At no time does the virus understand what’s happening.

The everyday Biden voter doesn’t comprehend it.
Individuals who operate on the level of a George Soros don’t comprehend it either.

A virus operates based on the existence of its host. It cannot survive any other way.

I expect China to move against Taiwan, and/or Russia to move against Ukraine, and/or Iran to attack Israel. And I expect the US to stand by and do nothing. It will be a “Suez Crisis” for the US, and the whole world will watch and shrug and openly say, “I thought they were a Great Power. But I guess not.”
Whether America is still a great power relies on one simple fact of physics - a body in motion tends to continue in motion. Inertia alone will continue to let us spin along for a while, but some powerful braking forces have been applied in only the short time the “Que malla” Harris/Joe Stolen regime has assumed power.
Destroying our energy independence, dropping all pretense of border control, leniency for criminal acts at every level while chaos rages in many urban centers, and reinstituting onerous and largely meaningless regulation of internal travel within the country, have resulted in the cancellation of virtually all the freedoms enjoyed widely as recently as 2019.
All to “get even” with Donald J. Trump.
But nobody in all the history of conflict of culture has ever “gotten even”. Either the system begins to gyrate wildly, or is broken altogether. There is no equity ever established, no matter what the rhetoric promises.
We’re still one of the prime powers in the world, but we’re rapidly declining.
We’re about as powerful as a homeless drug addict.
That’s a perfect description of what our nation represents now.
The truth is it is a dying/dwindling population; there is no way to pretend the “replacement Americans” are in any way similar to the people and culture that defeated the Japanese 75 years ago. Not only is there no will to fight a war; there is no money, and no common shared values for our soldiers to represent.
Seeing Afghanistan end in exactly the same manner as Vietnam nearly 50 years ago says it all (fleeing while declaring victory); the left that abandoned South Vietnam still controls this country. The sacrifice of lives was rendered just as meaningless, and we donated even more materiel to our enemies.

Gross domestic product of what? Since covid, we’ve found out everything is Made in China. I found out this week that even bicycle shops have shut down because they can’t get parts because everything is... Made in China.

Not for nothing but I prefer that the United States provide the material for the Defence of the Republic of China and Ukraine.
I’m totally against sending ground troops to support them in their defense.
I’m fed up being the 9-11 force for the worlds problems. We have enough problems of our own right now.
Power matters not unless there is a will to use it.

The hospital I work at in Toms River is over run with jabbering mutts from every Third World crap hole on the planet. I'd like to think America is still a great power but you make a very valid and prescient point: We definitely are not the nation populated with the type of people who won WW2. None of the millions of people pouring in here from all over the world understand that generations values and sacrifices or even care. They're only here for a ''better life'' which really means they don't want to assimilate, mostly they hate Whites and they're only interested in taking out as much money out of this nations economy and sending it back to their home countries. My hope is that myself and my wife won't be around when the end of this nation comes.
