That may explain why most of Audie Murphy's later movies were westerns. After you've been there, done that, making a movie about it probably either seems dull or just a way to relive the parts you don't want to think about all the time.
Had to search - Audie Murphy Autobiography - “To Hell and Back”.
He was cast as himself in a WWII role and the director wanted to do it exactly as his exploits had happened. Murphy said something like “If you tell it like it really happened, nobody will believe it.”
Probably some “special” mushrooms.
So you walking down the hall, you’re going to Hell and Satan sees you coming and he’s thinking, ‘Here’s somebody I can scare the ____ out of and torment...AAAAAAAAAAAGH!”
*Satan Disappointed*
Oh, you were married.......ok let me take this ____ off. Oh. well, come on in, I’ll give you a tour anyway, but there won’t be any surprises for you, though.....You see that? That’s where we torment the soul, wooooooooah.
What? You were married twice? Would you like a job down here? You qualify for our job employment program here in Hell, you can be a tour guide.”
-Sam Kinison
Interesting movie if you know the backstory.
Obviously did well under pressure.
The bible says we die only once.
Demons don’t torture people in hell. They are right along with the others suffering.
Cages?
I hate when I die and go to Hell.
It just burns my *** every time I do that.
And people there are so rude.
They’re all screaming at the same time.
I don’t like it.
I don’t like it at all.
First of all, bodies and flesh are things of this world, not the next. And second, I don’t know.
Only we oldsters will get that one.
Jesus never used names in his parables. In the case of the rich man and the beggar, he did.
After Jesus was put to death, he went to Hades to preach. Or was Jesus dreaming?
Did this fruitcake write the book before or after his visit to hell?
Sound like a means of selling books to the gullible.
“Telepathic Intruder’’.
Coolest screen name on the site.
Completely agree.
So, if his body was being “torn apart”, I would presume we’d see scars upon his return? Or was it all his imagination?
There have been numerous Near-Death Experiences (NDE) and what most seem to have in common is that they see themselves removing out of their earthly bodies and finding a light that either gets closer or gets more distant.
Perhaps one of these days, the near-deceased will remember to take a cellphone with them so we can get selfies when they return.
“where did the bodies come from?”
I questioned that. In hell, people there won’t be “bodies”, they’ll be fully aware of their eternal torment. They’ll wish they were bodies.
How can he be sure that he wasn't simply "beamed" to Philadelphia or Detroit for those 23 minutes?
Regards,
Kinda reminds you of New York City, doesn’t it?
If I were he, I’d change my life style pronto!
OH NO, I am officially an old timer!
These days, almost everyone who gets to visit Chicago, Philadelphia, NYC, or San Francisco says about the same thing...
